COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Intensely aromatic IPA crafted with multiple hop varieties. Singapore IPA utilizes a full malt body which complements the hop bitterness leading to crisp and refreshing citrus flavor with a slight hint of pine. Named after the legendary Lake Michigan ghost town of Singapore, formerly located near Saugatuck, this once thriving lumber town was gradually buried by dune erosion in the late 1880’s. 16.2°

Bottle. Pours a clear dark golden. Medium sized white frothy head dissipating to a nice foamy finish. Stong aroma of pine. Decent lacing. Palate on the thicker side of medium. Bitter taste and mouthfeel. I really liked this one and will drink it again.

Pours a rusty golden color with a very thin head. The aroma is fairly intense with citrus hops and a slight pine undertone. The first thing that hits the palate is the good bitterness, scored 72 IBU's. Flavor hits a bit hard at first, but mellows as it goes down. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft @ Marriott DTW. Light hoppy aroma. Golden amber color with white head, good lacing. Pleasant hoppy flavor, with nice malt balance. Med bodied. Kind of a "middle of the road" IPA, but good.

This stuff is pretty simple w/o much hop character in the nose but is pretty solid otherwise. It’s medium bodied, not too sweet w/ just a light peachy/fruity touch of hops. It finishes w/ a strong earthy bitterness that’s not unpleasant. Overall, not exactly memorable but seemingly skillfully brewed w/o much in the way of off flavors or anything like that. Let’s call it okay.

This bottled brew from a restaurant poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation semi-opaque dark orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The nice aroma was citrus and hoppy. The sharp thick mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of mild rye wheat sweet citrus hops and bread dough. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Bottle: Golden with an orangey sheen, hazy, small and stable creamy off-white head; solid bitter nose of exotic fruits and grapefruits, some caramel underneath; solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, tart but soft(!) mouthfeel; lingering - as expected - dry grapefruity and resiny finish. Yes, good…

I believe this is an excellent ipa that rivals other awesome michigan ipas. Heavy hop....light citrus. Good for this hop head.

Hazy blond color. The hip aroma is very leafy and there is also some breadcrust. Smooth, good body, moderately sweet, with very good bread character, and food hopping.
Very good IPA, layered feelings.

Rating #1209 - Bottle from Saugatuck 29.07.2014 Clear golden amber pour with a weak, white head that bubbles away to a ring. Aroma is strong with pine/lemon overtones. Taste is more of the same, dry hops and cakey malts dominating the flavour. Very much a Northeast style IPA, very tasty.
