An Intensely aromatic IPA crafted with multiple hop varieties. Singapore IPA utilizes a full malt body which complements the hop bitterness leading to crisp and refreshing citrus flavor with a slight hint of pine. Named after the legendary Lake Michigan ghost town of Singapore, formerly located near Saugatuck, this once thriving lumber town was gradually buried by dune erosion in the late 1880’s. 16.2°

On tap. Pours a hazy orange yellow with white head. Aroma of citrus. Taste is moderately bitter, and the malty sweetness doesn’t quite balance it.

Tap: Amber color, mild clarity; no head, just a tiny, tiny gray collar when the beer arrives. Aroma has a mild citrus-hop combo. Hints of piney, herbal hops, a touch of spiciness with light orange peel & grapefruit. A bit of caramel malt. Flavor is kind of watered down but exhibits the same flavor. Ashy, leafy hops, spicy earthy, citrus peel, & a strong caramel malt finish. Nothing offensive, but it kind of blends in with the plethora of other IPAs out there. Maybe a touch too sweet, too.

Bottled 11/18/14. Pours a clear golden color small head and lacing. Aroma is hop forward, lemon, orange, slight maltiness. Flavor is more malty than expected. Sweet caramel flavor and biscuit maltiness up front. Really nice. This dissipates into an orange grapefruit flavor. Long bitter finish. Really nice. Better than expected.

The beer pours a light amber color with a small head. The aroma has some citrus with lemon zest and some biscuit. Taste has pretty good balance but did not produce the best taste. Mixture of citrus and hops but did not taste too good. Medium finish.

355ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of mango, tangerine, orange, hints of pine, biscuity malty basis. Taste is initially citrusy fruity hoppy with mango note, some pine and biscuity malty basis, quickly fading out, leaving behind only mineral, chalky bitterness.

Catching up ratings...... Draft from Detroit airport. Poured a hazy amber with a small white fomay head. Aroma of citrus, floral, and bready and sweet malts. Taste was a bit sweet with caramel and bready notes. Also bitter with citrus hops. Rather dry finish. Solid beer.

12 oz. bottle poured to a goblet, showing a clear, orangey gold color, with a tight, frothy head of soft white head foam, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The nose was lightly floral, and a pleasant, citrusy combo of grapefruit, lemon & orange, with a touch of sweetness & malt smoothness, and a bit of resin noticeable after checking again upon slight warming. Pronounced and lingering citrus & rind bitterness dominated the taste, with the intermingling touch of sweetness, light, creamy mouthfeel, and finishing dryness playing integral parts, presented by better than average carbonation, in a medium body. A decent, full flavored IPA.

Pours a clear amber-orange with a fluffy off-white head that settles slowly and leaves a thick wall of foamy lace. Nose involves pine and tropical fruit notes, some light caramel, maybe some marshmallow, some light toasted notes. Fairly sweet, a bit more bitter. Medium to light bodied, pretty oily, softer carb, tingly with hop oil, finishing toward dry. Crisp and drinkable, not overly exciting, but well put together.
