COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Intensely aromatic IPA crafted with multiple hop varieties. Singapore IPA utilizes a full malt body which complements the hop bitterness leading to crisp and refreshing citrus flavor with a slight hint of pine. Named after the legendary Lake Michigan ghost town of Singapore, formerly located near Saugatuck, this once thriving lumber town was gradually buried by dune erosion in the late 1880’s. 16.2°

UPDATED: APR 23, 2015 On tap. Pours a hazy orange yellow with white head. Aroma of citrus. Taste is moderately bitter, and the malty sweetness doesn?t quite balance it. I sampled this again with a much more favorable impression than previously. Delicious.

Bottle: Golden with an orangey sheen, hazy, small and stable creamy off-white head; solid bitter nose of exotic fruits and grapefruits, some caramel underneath; solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, tart but soft(!) mouthfeel; lingering - as expected - dry grapefruity and resiny finish. Yes, good…

I believe this is an excellent ipa that rivals other awesome michigan ipas. Heavy hop....light citrus. Good for this hop head.

Hazy blond color. The hip aroma is very leafy and there is also some breadcrust. Smooth, good body, moderately sweet, with very good bread character, and food hopping.
Very good IPA, layered feelings.

330ml bottle at RedHot Munich. Aroma is light nuts, malt, citrus, light peaches. Appearance is light orange with a light white foam. Taste is medium bitter. Astringent aftertaste. Good thought.

Rating #1209 - Bottle from Saugatuck 29.07.2014 Clear golden amber pour with a weak, white head that bubbles away to a ring. Aroma is strong with pine/lemon overtones. Taste is more of the same, dry hops and cakey malts dominating the flavour. Very much a Northeast style IPA, very tasty.

OK, so saugie has many ipas. Evidently, this one has something to do with the orient. From a bot, big dull ipa smell. Hazy like darker hefe. Punching dull ipa viscous flavor, should be a dipa. Mouth coating rototilling effects. Volatile like turpentine. Whewwie. This is a kik-yerhass beer. Terribly terribly on dedicated style.

Twelve ounce bottle from Saugatuck variety pack purchased at Jeff’s Marathon, tasted on September 13, 2015. Medium amber hue, subdued bittersweet aroma with some spice, medium to strong bittersweet flavor with a spice element. Date on bottle was 4/6/2015 and the hops did taste a bit old. Not bad but I’d like to try it again when I can be sure it’s fresh. Jeff’s has a great selection but they need to pay more attention to stock rotation.

Backlog rating. Keg at CPK, London. It pours a rich golden color with medium white head. Aroma is resinous hops, sweet soft fruit, grass, caramel. Taste is lightly bitter and medium sweet, with more notes of resin, caramel, mango, grass, pine cones. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, decent IPA

Lecker. Erkauft durch zu viel IBU, meine Meinung... Leckeres IPA, aber nicht hervorragend.. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
