Few sips from wife’s bottle. A cider in category ’this is what you find from supermarket’. Taste has a little bit apples, and it is mostly dry. Calling this cider interesting would probably insult people who make the premium stuff. I am not a great fan of even so called good stuff, but I must admit this is worse. Although not quite as bad as some 3 litter size-of-an-alcoholist ciders are.

Gylden brun klar med svært lavt hvitt skum som forsvinner fort. Lukter epler og noe trevirke. Samme i smak, middels sødme. Kort

Bottle from B&M, Halifax. Golden-yellow coloured cider. Has a full apple aroma with a sweetness, with a fair taste that gets better stated in its lingering aftertaste, with a slightly lighter sweetness.

Klares helleres goldgelb, kein Schaum. Süß-säuerliche Äpfel, wenig trocken, nicht allzu spritzig.

pours clear bright if not fluorescent yellow with a small white cap, surprisingly lacing onto glass. pears more than apples, no distinguishable granny smith, some citrus, vanilla traces, lightly astringent herbs, clean yeast, minerals. moderate carbonation, light body, relatively dry mineral-citrusy finish. not quite dry. more than o-k for this seemingly macro african cider.

En ganska snäll och lite tunn dryck. Lättdrucket och läskande en varm sommardag.

Clear light yellow body, lots of active bubbles during to the surface. Sweet apple aroma. Taste is quite sweet considering this was labeled as "dry." Sugary, apples of course. Really nothing complex or subtle about this. I was actually just in Stellenbosch last summer. I can say that South Africa has much better alcoholic beverages than this - including some great craft beer and wine...probably some ciders, too. This one, however, is just okay.
