It’s very refreshing. It tastes like wine. It has alcohol. It’s something I can down a six pack in a sunny afternoon. BUT IT’S NOT BEER. My all fours rating doesn’t reflect my opinion of this superb product, just a protest against its listing here.

Bottle. Clear bright yellow-gold with a very effervescent body. Aroma of sweet apple juice with an odd mineral note - limestone, maybe? - and a bit of white wine. Tastes quite distinctly of Granny Smith apples, starting sweet and developing a moderate tartness as it crosses the palate. Finish is clean and semi-dry. Simple, not a lot of character - just a decent mass produced cider.

Hellgoldener Cider mit kaum Schaum. Geruch süß, säuerlich nach Äpfeln, genauso ist auch der Geschmack.

Very light, sweet. Pretty refreshing but not complex. Great for a very hot summer day.

Appearance: Clear golden. Aroma: Apple, chalky, mineral, white wine note. Taste: Medium sweetness and low/medium acidity, low tannin. Palate: Thick slightly coarse texture, light body, average/prickly carbonation, abrupt sweet, apple finish with a light tartness and not especially dry. Comments: Easy to drink and ok. Rating is for bottled version 5% brewed in Belgium by NV Konings.

33cl bottle, Maruhn 12/2014. Fairly thin and artificially sweetened and soured (citric acid, colorant) macro cider, not much going on apart from sourish diluted Granny Smith, unnoticeable 5,5%. Far cry from some Normandie ciders.

Pours a pale golden yellow. Smells like white wine. Taste is medium sweet with apples.

330mL bottle BB 11/2014 Pale yellow body, actually holds a thin head of foam. Mild arma of reconstituted apple juice with a bit of savoury spice. Reasonably lively carbonation, light body, drops away relatively quickly on the palate Light sweetness upfront, flavours of brown apple flesh followed by a touch of cinnamon-like spice, lingering on a moderately dry finish. Not bad, flavour is a bit different from others, not sure about it though.

Bottle Morrisons. Pale clear amber colour shortlived white head. Aroma is week apple peel. Taste is clean crisp apples slight tart medium dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. This wasn’t all that bad a good session cider I think because of the use of granny smiths There’s nothing really to hit u in aroma or taste but then I can undersatand this as I don’t really see this variety as a good cider apple. Decent all considered.

Not much of an aroma, they put a lemon wedge in it which is rarely a good sign. Dry as the name suggests, thin and average at best.
