I tried this beer on September 8, 2009 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer pours a translucent dark gold colour with a thin white bubbly head and a large amnount of effervescence. The aroma is grainy malt, and some hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is malty, metallic, slightly sweet and a hoppish finish. Strangebrewer (217), Chatham, Ontario, Canada

Pungent hoppy-grain aroma. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Flavour is grainy/herbal. Metallic, slightly bitter finish. A non-offensive beer. DerWeg (760), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Lightly hoppy aroma with slick-sweet malts, maybe a prickle of sharp chemical smell. Taste is round and sweet with notes of apple, generic honey and lemon. Pluses high drinkability an non-offensive, minuses it’s kind of fake and has a slightly parching chemical feel, and I fear a Boris preservative-induced hang-over would be most wretched. From a silly little bottle, this poured a fomay white head of perhaps one finger’s depth. Where the hell did it go? Anywho, the colour was a rich, urine-like medium gold, accompanied by a delicate floral hopped nose. Both the initial and after tastes were somewhat sweet, and the mouthfeel was average. Not a dreadful beer, but beer is not what the French do best. boozer87 (1), , Ontario, Canada does not count | 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Jan 16, 2009 pours a yellowy head. smelled like apple juice. tastes soft - hints of watery apple juice. no aftertaste. terrybail (335), London, Ontario, Canada

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 18, 2008 Pours a clear straw yellow colour with a thick fluffy head that actually lasts for a little while. Nose is faint, but there is some grassy hops present there. Favour is a little bit skunky, and kind of tastes like flour, kind of chalky. I guess it’s fairly dry. The hops that were present in the nose don’t come through so much in the taste, just a bit of bitterness. Aftertaste pretty much doesn’t exist. Carbonation is a bit low for a pils or a pale lager or whatever it’s supposed to be. Skidds (252), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
