Pours a transparent gold with a white head. I’m giving it a 3 in appearance strictly for being gold instead of yellow. LIghtly sweet with some apple. Reminds me of Cerveza Quisqueya from the Dominican Republic, just not as flat. You can do worse. rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 28, 2005 Bright golden hue, light foaming head disappearing in blink of an eye. at the opening of the little green bottle, the skunky smell came out, toasty malt, corn juice, floral hop aromas follow through on a light-bodied palate with a light bitter hop finish, a beer lacking character. tupalev (2612), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Bland taste - the definition of a crap European Lager (I’m sorry pilsner). Others have noted touches of malt and hops but I just didn’t get it. Up there with the worst I have ever tried. At least I shared the tiny bottle! Sammy (3981), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 19, 2005 a broken pack single. Not too watery, and some head in initial pour. Not a pourout, some malt in there. Minimal carbonation. Clean taste, could be a palate cleaner. A tad of fruit and malt on tongue at finish. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 19, 2005 250 ml bottle. Deep golden colour, thin white head with some sticky lace. Sweet malty aroma, light graininess with a bit of soapy character. Flavour is pretty simple, light malt, faint hopping with a light peppery finish. Braudog (3753), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2005 Bright golden color and quite active with impressive bright white, sticky head. Starchy malt aroma. Flavor basis isn’t all that different than most import lagers, except with a bit more oomph and sweet syrupy texture. Makes for a good head, though at 8.5 oz, who cares? Henekien malt )or lack thereof) smell plus some nice lavender. Worth trying, though probably not much more. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 20, 2005 A gold-coloured lager from the French province of Alsace. Malt, plus woody aromas of wet cardboard and hay. Flavour-wise, it’s missing that good balance between sweet and bitter that you look for in a classic lager; here the sweet side dominates too much. Boring mouthfeel and aftertaste. When thinking about Alsace, I’ll continue thinking about crisp white wine, not beer.
