clear gold, headless, sweet corn aroma, lots of nice bitter hop flavor trying to balance the sweet core malt but the sweetness is so coying that it falls short,

Pale golden. Some hay-like hops, urine and vauge malts in the aroma. Accent is malty, but not overly so. Off-dry finish. In the Heineken vein of having some admirable characteristics, but overall too light to bother.

Pours clear yellow, very carbonated with almost no head. Very mild grassy/grainy malt aroma. Taste is actually more pilsnerish than I expected after smelling. Rather crisp. Sweet herbal malt quickly followed by a dry and bitter finish. I paid it 99 cents, so I'm not particularly regretful.

clear bright golden colour, almost no foam, paperboard nose, tart and medium-bodied, dry unpleasant plastic-like finish - Saverne gets my vote for the worst brewery in the world

Bottle sampled on 11/8/06: Pours a pale champagne golden with a thin coating of white head. Aroma of lightly sweet caramel and noble hops. Body starts with a decent amount of sweet malt and thins toward a slightly bitter finish with a lager yeasty profile. A pretty standard pilsner.

Bottled, 330ml. Pale yellow gold with white head. Tinny, sweet, sticky lager, thin, bland and pretty poor all round, avoid.

250ml can. Pours yellow and fizzy. Tastes moderately nutty with some sparse hoppy elements. Drinkable, but not worth the money.

250 ml bottle. Deep golden colour, thin white head with some sticky lace. Sweet malty aroma, light graininess with a bit of soapy character. Flavour is pretty simple, light malt, faint hopping with a light peppery finish.
