COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

13.07.2013. 0,5l Can. Simply Market St. Jacques, Metz, France. Black colour as the name promise. Off-white head. Aroma is rather weak with brown sugar. Flavour is more brown sugar with a faint note of black Captain Morgan. Lacks bitterness. Smooth ans sweet beer without a bitter touch.

Small brown head. Clear deep brown body. Vague syrupy aroma. Very sweet fruity syrupy taste with herbal spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish herbal fruity spicy aftertaste with bubblegum and earth notes. Syrupy fruity notes linger. Odd. A bit much spice and bubblegum, and too sweet. (0.33l draft at Charlie’s Beer Bar, Montpellier.)

Very sweet black beer, no evidence of any roast grains. As mentioned previously, like "A rum and coke" gone flat. Mouthfeel is light/watery, not much lingering aftertaste. Aroma also is overly sweet (sugary).

Canned. Purchasable in Denner. Clear deep copper with a decent tanned head. Strong metallic components throughout. Sweet. Mediocre malt back. Low bitterness. Remarkably shy caramel and chocolatey hints on the swallow. Some residual sugars in the finish. Bland and mostly inoffensive apart from the metal reminiscence.

Clear dark amber, tan head vanishes. Smells like vegetables rotting at high tide. Tastes like a flat rum and coke with no ice. High fructose corn syrup, caffiene, no bitterness. Low carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Weird, yet oddly enough, drinkable. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Brown color with a small head. Caramel and toasted malt nose. Same applies to the taste. Very sweet.

50 cl can from monoprix. Cool all black can with black top and tab. Doesn’t really smell like much more than fake bourbon mixed with Kanterbrau. But at least it’s faint. Maroon color. Tastes sweet and watery, with the tiniest hint of coffee. Mainly it tastes like sugar water iced tea coffee or something. Maybe for southern yuppies.

50 cl can, Sheffield, UK, via Paris. Cola appearance, sweet licorice aroma with some caramel. Sweet flavor, too sweet for me, slight faint hop finish.
