COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

50 cl can from monoprix. Cool all black can with black top and tab. Doesn’t really smell like much more than fake bourbon mixed with Kanterbrau. But at least it’s faint. Maroon color. Tastes sweet and watery, with the tiniest hint of coffee. Mainly it tastes like sugar water iced tea coffee or something. Maybe for southern yuppies.

Appearance: clear amber-brown with one finger of rocky beige head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: muted, coffee, cola, liquorice. (4/10) Taste: high sweet, mild bitter. (3/10) Medium-light body, lively to moderate carbonation, sweet and sticky finish. (2/5) The first sip is shockingly sweet. After the initial shock wears off, it’s still sweet, but some other flavour starts to become apparent. It’s like liquorice dissolved in cola, and way too sweet for me to finish. Might be some folks’ cup of tea - folks who take six sugars in their tea, maybe - but not mine. Sink pour. (7/20)

Says "schwarzbier" on its label. Definitely not. Neither the sweet malty version as of Krusowice, nor the roasted malt "regular" version. Tastes much more like a (sweet) Porter, ie. way too sweet. Has a slight bitter aftertaste. It’s good if you like the sweet porter brewing style, got a sweet tooth or are into cola beer mixes / Radler, but anybody else is prolly gonna be shocked or even disgusted.

Keg at Chez Marie Bar, Eguisheim, Sunday 19th June 2016 Pours very dark brown in colour with a little glint of red, malty nose. Woah.... shine a light l, this is so, so sweet, too malty no hops. There is a possible dusty hoppiness in the background but otherwise pretty poor effort. A6 A4 T4 P2 Ov9 2.5

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2016 0,33 l Flasche.

Bottled, 500ml at Academie de la Biere, Strasbourg, France. Dark brown with beige head. An overly sweet beer, fruity but with a carbonated, wet cardboard flavour. There is a blackberry fruitiness and a little boiled toffee, malty close. Not great.
