50 cl can from monoprix. Cool all black can with black top and tab. Doesn’t really smell like much more than fake bourbon mixed with Kanterbrau. But at least it’s faint. Maroon color. Tastes sweet and watery, with the tiniest hint of coffee. Mainly it tastes like sugar water iced tea coffee or something. Maybe for southern yuppies.

Clear deep brown appearance, medium low head. Malty and caramel aroma, very sweet taste, not much bitterness. Poor palate, slightly unbalanced. Overall mediocre.

Bue en bouteille de 33cl. Arômes fruités, caramel mal équilibrés. Beaucoup trop sucrée, aucune longueur en bouche. Beurk !

Bottle@Strasbourg. Blackish beer with a reddish tinge and a strong head. The aroma is yeasty with some weak maltiness. The flavour is malty with some roastedness and yeastiness. Overall a reasonable malty dark beer, better than the ratings suggest. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml can (Rimi in the wilds, Tallinn) - good find, Marduk!
Smells like hard water. Later, after Ive tasted it, I get sweetness and cocoa powder too. Taste pretty messy sweetness, cheap chocolate. Smooth palate. Finish sweet, a little sticky. Shame, it looked decent, a nice deep red, beige head. Way too sweet. That does help keep the alcohol down.

500ml can. Dark brown color. Small size, brown head, stays. Caramel, roast, dusty and touch of shit in aroma. Sweet, chocolate, milky, nesquick chocopops in taste. Strong cocoa in aftertaste. Light body, almost watery.

50cl can, somewhere in Reims 2013. Pours a watery, sticky deep prune-brown. Some fruit syrup in the nose, laying down the flavour base. Diluted burnt caramel and anonymous but noticeable hop presence. All of this sounds less than enticing, but it’s still less hideous than anticipated for a French macro Schwarz/black lager and actually quite drinkable: was able to finish 35cl of this. Now, to call this black sticky unicorne "Saveur de l’année 2013" is another thing...
