12 ounce can poured into a brandy snifter. The aroma has a pine hop character on top of a malty sweet tea-like sweetness. The taste has moderate bitterness throughout, but the malty sweetness comes through some toward the back end. Medium body and lower carbonation.

Pours a turbid brown on tap with thin ring of tan brown lace. Aroma and taste of mild chocolate malts and earthy back end. Not bad, mild and toned down.

Pours deep brown with a generous off-white head.
The aroma is nutty, cocoa powder and roast malt.
The flavor is lightly sweet and follows the aroma nicely.
I’ll have another.

This is a good basic brown. If you told me it was a Newcastle brown I wouldn’t question it.

Tap at Tupelo Honey - Asheville. Pours clear dark brown with a medium, frothy beige head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is toast, caramel, and nutty malt with earthy hops and light fig notes. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and bitterness, light tart dark fruits and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Not really my style but an ok brown. The hop taste kind of sends my taste buds for a quick spin only to be destroyed by malty sweetness. Ok

On tap at Tupelo Honey Cafe (Greenville, SC).
Great looking, with a deep, dark brown body and a thick, durable head. Excellent clarity and lacing.
Good aroma and flavor, with neither flaws nor anything exceptional.
Likewise for the medium-light body.
