bottle 9.7%. Poured very dark brown with a thin mocha ring on top. Roasted malt aroma with a burnt sugar note. Full rich body, oily mouthfeel with a sourish bitter finish. Flavour notes of coffee, bitter chocolate on a malty base with a hint of raspberry. Nice Imperial Stout.

Very dark brown pour with small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and raspberry jam. Taste of roasted malts, slight coffee, faint vanilla, sweetened chocolate and tart raspberries with a slightly bitter hop finish. Full bodied ,medium carbonation. Very interesting beer that really hit the mark, good job!

Eructoblaster (3079) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 22, 2014
On tap at BBB (Ottawa, ON). Opaque black body with a thin beige creamy head. Rich malty/hoppy aroma with chocolate and roasty hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Taste is dominated by grainy and roasty flavors. It carries cocoa, coffeeish, raspberry, and woody notes. Ends with a good bitter/roasty finish. Very drinkable.

Spab (2510) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2014
Bottle at the Only Cafe. Pours a very dark brown with average-sized tan head. Aroma is tart raspberry, dark chocolate and roasty coffee. Flavour is big rich dark chocolate and tart raspberry with some roasty coffeeish notes. Fine, lively carbonation. Nice.

Tap at C’est What. Pitch black pour - thin tan head. Dark cocoa, roasted coffee and a touch of fruit. The flavour shows a lot of soft tart raspberry and a bit of peppery bitterness and some spice as well. There is a little bit of seedy character. Alcohol is present but not objectionable. Palate is a little bit thin with some light lingering bitterness. Okay - but could use some more sweetness through the middle to accentuate the cocoa and the fruit.

Very good, probably even better than the regular Voyage to Uranus. The raspberry adds just enough fruit to the beer and comes together well. Berry with roast malt, dark chocolate. Pours black, thick taste. Sweet and sour finish. Tap at Winterbrewed.

pushkinwow (2061) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 18, 2014
Poured from a bottle at Ottawa 2014 Winterbrewed. Black with dark mocha head. Roasted semi-burnt malt, chocolate, vanilla, light booze, smooth, moderate carbonation and full body, hint of sweetness but the raspberry doesn’t seem to come out until the finish which allows the bitterness to linger for a bit and then be cut. Thought this was quite good - these guys sure are making some stellar beers in Ontario!

Bottle at Winterbrewed. Potent red fruit aroma with a ton of chocolate and raspberry. Opaque black under a light brown flannel blanket and lace. Raspberry chocolate flavour with some pine hops and an assertive bitterness to balance that chocolatey sweetness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, clean finish.

A deep dark stout with a thick lacing brown head. In aroma, nice raspberry jam and chocolatee malt, with light rosewater. In mouth, a nice bitter sweet chocolate with raspberry jam, bitter coffee, alcohol warmth, nice. Bottle at Winterbrewed 2014.

[5085-20130131] Cask. Fruity caramel chocolate latte aroma. Black body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head with funny pocket bubbles. Super charred raspberry chocolate roast flavour has quite a long bitter aftertaste. Full bitter body. Tasty but overwhelmingly burnt. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5
