Very Coleen pour. Just a touch hazy. You can still see through it thou.. Lacy white head. No real discern able scent. Surprising amount of taste despite the near nothing scent. Has a stong grassy bitter taste. The type you get in some of those organic salads. There’s noting terrible about this but nothing great either. It’s alright.

Pours a clear pale yellow with a bit of white head and a little visible carbonation. Smell is warm citrus and a slight funk. Palate is light bodied with moderate carbonation. Taste is slight sweet and bitter with a short bitter aftertaste. Meh, it’s a Kolsch.

Very pale straw colour. Slightly hazy with a thick white head. Nice clean pilsner malt and a very fresh breadiness. Lightly yeasty with a touch of noble spicy hoppiness. Fresh tasting. Clean and delicate. Great balance - nice job on this one.

Great colour and aroma to this Kolsch from Sawdust City. Taste is toasty with some doughy and earthy notes from the malts

Enjoyed on tap at The Rhino. Hits the style and drinkable, smooth. Small amount of yeast and hops. A bit below average mouthfeel.

This is probably one of the best Kolsches I’ve ever had. Not that this is a huge deal, but I was really surprised by the decency of this beer. There’s a little cheese in here and a nice crisp, almost potato chip-like finish. There’s something really breadlike in the yeast, a finish of good bread. On tap at The Rhino.

2012-07-27. Crisp dark yellow body with a nice off-white head. 3+ Flavour is light, modest cereally pale malt, very light bitterness, bit of dilute sweet lemon, pale malt gains sweetness and prominence as you go, in a way that I am not entirely thrilled with. Light fruity touches are more pleasant. 6+ Odd yeasty aroma has unpleasant musty overtones - yeast esters? Vaguely cheesey accents are brief. Average palate. Sort of a buttery-buttercup character as it warms up, I can’t tell if its a Saaz hop or diacytl. Not sure how much to attribute to the beer vs. me not being in the mood for it, but this was not to my tastes today. On tap at Volo, Toronto

[4312-20120302] Tap. Light fruity grain straw aroma. Clear, pale orange body with a big long-lasting foamy head. Grainy bread straw continues in the flavour, and as it warms some mildly tart yeast characteristics become more prominent. Light-medium body. Tasty, very drinkable. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3
