On tap at Gigís: A hazey pale straw color with a puffy cap. Aroma is intense grapefruit-citrus with bisquity malts in the background. Flavour has big PacNW hopping (Greapefruit/citrus) balances with dry biscuity wheat malts, light fruity esters.Dry crisp finish with a nice hop bite. This is an interesting mutation of a Berliner weiss with PacNW pale ale - pale ale fruity eaters with weiss dryness and APA citrus - nice sipping ale

On tap at brewery. Complex mango, passion fruit, and lemon hops aroma. Cloudy yellow under a white patch and lace. Fruity good flavour: mango, blueberry, passion fruit, lime. Malt and wheat are in the background. Mineral water finish. Moderate to medium bitterness. Light body, moderate to medium carbonation, crisp.

473 mL can. This is not a wheat ale. Itís a "hoppy session ale." It has no wheat in it. Maybe it used to. Maybe this is a completely new beer. Iíll let someone else figure that out. Itís also 4.5%, not 5%. Itís hazy yellow-brown - not pretty - but it does have nice white head. Citruc and pineapple in the nose. A little sweeter in the flavour, but still citrus. Body is on the thin side, but thatís typical for the style. Nice flavour for a North American session beer.

This had such great citrus on the nose and citrus, grapefruit and pine on the tongue that I didnít even recognize it as a wheat beer. This was recommended to me by a Nickel Brook worker at the Burlington Beer Festival and I subsequently recommended it to my friends as they came in. Everyone loved it!

On tap. Cloudy straw - gold pour, medium fluffy white head, decent lacing. Big citrus aroma, orange, lemon. In the taste that is also some decent pine hopping. Medium body with good forward carbonation.

Can from the brewery. Cloudy pale yellow with a small white head that lingers. Nose is lemon and tropical fruit with light pine. Medium bitter throughout with some light wheat character but little balance. Medium light mouth with average carbonation and a dry bitter finish.

472 ml can from OCB Awards judging, served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Cloudy straw with a decent bright white head. Aroma: Really strong lemony hops, a little cat piss, light resin/pine, a touch of tropical fruit, not much malt character. Palate: Medium-ish body, fairly lively carbonation. Flav.: Citrus and cat pee hops, a little wheat-like malt character, kinda weak and watery on the finish; dry with moderate bitterness and a citrus/cat pee, watery finish.

Meh. Very much meh.

Jan. 31, 2015. In Januaryís Brew Box. Can. Very pale cloudy yellow with white head. Citrus, lemon aroma. Pine, citrus flavours; quite bitter. Nice lacing. Too bitter for my taste, had to give half of my glass to someone else to finish.

473 mL can. Hazy pale off yellow with a thick lacy white head. Big lemon, orange and light pine on the nose. A hint of pineapple, citrus zest and wheat malt. Light bodied, moderate carbonation and a creamy, sticky mouthfeel. Dry and gently bitter on the finish. Lingering lemony-ness. Super refreshing, hoppy goodness.

473ml can. 4.5%abv. Canned Oct 15, 2014. Pours a cloudy, light yellow with a half finger, white head that sticks to the glass. Aroma has herbal/grassy notes with citrus and tropical fruits. Taste is balanced. Citrus, grassy/herbal/spice, and a short finish. Medium body and carbonation. A bit thin but really clean in the mouth. Overall ok but not my thing. Not a huge fan of sorachi ace so I think thatís turning me off.
