COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You approach the solitary windswept pine as it sits stoically upon its tiny perch of Canadian Shield and you wonder to yourself, “Why does this beautiful tree stand alone?” Then as you step closer, in awe of its majestic splendour, a branch blows down and slaps you right across your face. Sawdust City’s Lone Pine IPA is aggressively hopped and bursting with flavours of pine and citrus, loaded with mounds of hops and balanced with a blend of 4 different malts. Like that truculent tree, each glass is like a pine bow across your face.

Cannette 473ml via trade, merci Alex - Asheft. Canned on 01.27.2016. Solide.

473 ml can bought at LCBO #40 - Barrack & King (Kingston) on February 21, 2016. Golden blonde, medium head. Peach pin aroma, some raw malt sweetness. Green hops and sweet citrus taste, fairly balance, good bitterness. Its nicely done!

Powerfully aromatic, grassy wet hops to begin with some yeast and light banana notes and a mild spice scent. Unfiltered, creamy, pastel appeal with a thick snowy head. Bold and bitter and favours the fan of hops. Balanced with citrus and grapefruit flavours. The aftertaste is sturdy and lasts a while.

This IPA poured a cloudy Amber colour with a big white head. Scents include lots and lots of citrus. Pine and cedar to boot. Smells over the top hoppy. First swig thank God wasn't as hoppy as the nose. Slightly sweet with flavours of pineapple and lemon citrus. Finish is lightly lemony and medium bitter.

473ml can. Clear golden body, big white head, average retention, plenty of lacing. Fresh aroma of pine, grapefruit, oranges, honey, grains. Taste of grapefruit zest, honey, resins, dragon fruit and peaches. Nice one.

Pours hazy bright honey gold. Big bubble rocky, slightly off-white head. Tonnes of lacing. Slow moving soft carbonation. There is a noticeable amount of very fine particulate in this beer. Aroma is lighter than expected with honey, grain, fresh bread yeast, with notes of tropical fruits, and juicy pine resin. Ample mouthfeel. Could use more carbonation. Decent balance between the toasted bread malts, faint notes of caramel, and spice, with a very well hopped (but not scary) citric punch. A little oily/resinous. Good burnt grass bitterness hanging on the backend. Traces of peach, and icing sugar through the finish, without being too sweet. Very good.

Big bursts of grapefruit, along with flowery aromas on the nose. Tastes delicious, with pine, orange and grapefruit. A classic IPA.
