4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
650ml bottle. Pours a very hazy orange colour. Fairly thick white head that settles down nicely, leaving moderate lacing as drunk.
Aromas are very piney hops, with hints of caramel.
Tastes of citrus, pine, pineapple, and toffee.
Overall, this IPA could go toe-to-toe with many of my favourites in the category, and might upset a few.

Tap, pours golden, aroma is some pine and hops, taste is light piney, a little grassy, and overall it was quite nice

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very orange body. Almost the same colour as the label on the bottle. Great piney aroma. Some slight citrus notes, come through as well. In the bottle the hops are more bitter than flavorful, having faded somewhat from their original brightness. The bitterness lingers through the finish. Good, but better on draught.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
That poor lone pine. I found a better home for him. In my belly. You won’t be lonely there with all those other beers. (It is a beer belly after all. My wife is so proud.) Pours a cloudy caramel with a finger of fully, off white head. Nose dominated by pine hops with solid malt in the back. The taste is good, those similar pine hops, but additionally a perfume flavour to the hops profile as well. Decent malt flavour and an lingering bitterness. Not bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Brothers Beer Bistro (Ottawa, ON). Slightly hazy, golden body with an average off-white creamy head and lively carbonation. Fresh hoppy aroma with citrusy and herbal hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries herbal, grapefruit, and some grainy notes. Ends with a long, robust bitter finish. Good stuff.

May 1, 2014. 600mL bottle from R&L. Hoppy citrus, grapefruit aroma. Foggy golden yellow colour. Very small head. Extremely hoppy, unbalanced. Not very fond of this one.

Draft. Hazy light amber, with a medium creamy white head that leaves a thin cap. Aroma is mostly pine. Fairly bitter body, some caramel comes through.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bonne IPA au nez riche et houblonné. Le goût est complexe : blé, houblon, un peu de levure. La finale persiste en bouche assez longtemps. Belle bière rafraîchissante.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle from the LCBO, served in an English pint glass. Pours clear amber with a small, off-white head that fades to a thin cover and leaves a small amount of fine lace. On the nose, there are big notes of pine and flowers, along with a hint of citrus. Caramel malts come through as well but are overpowered by hops. The flavour is moderately bitter up front but becomes even more so on the back side, with increasing resin and some peppery notes. The finish is long, dry and bitter. On the plate it is medium in body with a pleasant dryish texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a decent IPA but the hops are a little simple and one-dimensional. 2013-06-11
