Pours a medium straw colour with moderate white head and fairly light carbonation On the nose it is light, with only a hint of Belgian wheat, some sweet biscuits, some cat pee, and a faint hint of caramel malt. Maybe even a smidgen of vinegar. On the palate, it is a little on the dry side, yet with a leaning towards light caramel flavour wise. You can taste the booze too, which prompted me to check the label and it is indeed 9%abv. Overall this is a conflicted beer that has no idea what it wants to be. Definitely stuck between styles. Didn’t hate it, but there are so many better beers on the market, I’d never purchase it again.

Appearance: Pours a clear golden colour with minimal white head that vanishes quickly. Aromas: The first thing you get is this wonderful aroma of tropical fruits. Then pine starts to come through and then guava, pineapple and apricot. Flavours: Pine, hops, guava, apricot, orange peel. Mouthfeel: Smooth with high carbonation. Overall: A nice well balanced Belgian ale with alcohol that is surprisingly subdued for such a high abv.

650mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings juicy citrus and piney hops, some residual sugars, and a crackery malt backbone. Flavour is identical, with a nice crackery malt backing, paving way for the dry piney and citrus hop forward quality. Nice and dry, with just enough juicy sweetness. Very nice stuff.

Bottle. Terrific frothy white head atop a hazy yellow straw body. Aroma is fruity, mainly tropical, with lots of Belgian yeast as well. Taste is sweet malt, decent amount of spice and some other yeasty flavors. Overall i really enjoyed this one.

Cask at the Ottawa Beerfest. Primed with cream soda. A glowing slightly milky pour with a wonderful hoppy and cream soda aroma. Full bodied and smooth. The taste is bitter pine with Belgian hints, cream soda and a solid malt backbone.

After missing this year’s National Capital Craft Beer Festival, had to had this one at home, as last year, had a blast with brewmaster Sam at the fest. Pours a hazy light golden colour with a nice white head that is frothy, but gets creamy with long retention and lots of lacing. Fresh grass nose with hints of pine and citrus. Also, Belgian Ale yeast, blonde ale grain and some fruity notes. The taste is nicely balanced between the hoppiness, the blonde grain and the Belgian Ale yeast. A very nice mix between and Belgian Strong Ale and an IIPA. Bomber from the LCBO 9% ABV, written on label.

650ml bottle from the LCBO in Cambridge, Ontario. Slightly cloudy golden yellow in colour with a long lasting white head, good lacing. The aroma is of light citrus, sweet malts, yeasty and fruity. The flavour is lightly sweet, lots of fruits, yeasty. Sweet mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, yeasty. Not like other Belgian IPA’s, not hop forward.

Aug. 4, 2014. Bottle from LCBO. Lovely pillowy white head that lingered. Cloudy straw yellow. Pine aroma, pine and citrus flavours. Bit hoppy, but not excessively so. Nice. Better than their other beers (at least the ones I’ve had).

Pours a hazy honey colour, with a white fizzy head. Aroma has notes of citrus, tropical fruits, and a little malt poking through. Tasting notes includes apple, pear, apricot, grapefruit, and some light malts, with a mild bitter finish that lingers. Not bad, but lacking a little punch for an IIPA.

Tap at barhop. Pours light gold with a white head. Lemon, cream soda aroma - odd but good. Medium body, medium carbonation. Booze is very well hidden - it's there, but in no way harsh. Lemon rind, pine, cream soda, light candy, grapefruit... Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
