flutetokill (507), Fresno, California, USA Jul 3, 2009 Nice caramel color with an off white head. Sweet bubble gum and pepper aroma. Nicely balanced bubble gum flavor with a little hoppy bite. Medium carbonation. Nice. SamGamgee (1140), Isla Vista, California, USA Jun 29, 2009 22oz bottle courtesy of illidurit. Gold with a white head. Lots of fruits in the aroma, with some melon, strawberry and orange; candy sweet and spice. The flavor is on the sweeter side with light spice and some orange. Medium bodied with a little less carbonation than I would like. Pretty solid, but lacking much to make it stand out. illidurit (724), Santa Cruz, California, USA Jun 28, 2009 Pours a clear orangey gold color with a small, wet white head. Little if any lacing. Big bruised apple and banana aroma, very fruit salad-like. Flavor is very similar but there’s a light spiciness in the finish. No trace of alcohol but the beer is rather sweet which hurts the drinkability. Semidry finish, smooth. nickd717 (788), Palo Alto, California, USA Jun 9, 2009 Tap at Toronado for Belgian-Inspired beer dinner. Clear golden in color with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt, sugar, and west coast hops. Flavor is similar, with sweet pale malt and the typical hop profile of Stone beers. A little Belgian yeast. Almost like a Belgian IPA, with citrusy hops lingering on the finish. Medium-full body. polomagnifico (524), Saginaw, Michigan, USA Jun 7, 2009 Bottle. Aroma has notes of yeast, apple, banana, and sweet crystal malts. Gold copper hue with an average white head. Flavor is sweet and yeast, typical tripel. Palate is medium full bodied and lively. Decent but not one I’d buy. GodOfThunder (668), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 3, 2009 Thanks to Beerlando for the bottle. Pours a clear yellow with aromas of yeast, grain and banana. Flavors are grainy with some banana. I think I’m a little biased against the style, now, and this was a pretty average Tripel. tokyogoat (258), San Diego, California, USA May 6, 2009 Poured a light copper color. Deep, but not hazy like I expected from an unfiltered tripel.
Nice white head that formed very late in the pour.
Surprised that there is very little lacing.
Smell is divine. Smells of yeast, light apple scent, and a dusting of cinnamon.
Taste is a very mild Triple. Which I personally love. No overpowering yeast you typically find, very fruity and floral notes with the hops. a little sweet with a little bitter. It really is a subtle beer with a lot of great things going on. papajohn (1037), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA Apr 29, 2009 Bottle from Stone Brewing World Bistro Store: Bright golden color with a small, fading off-white head. Aroma is fruity belgian yeast with maybe a hint of mint leaf. Sweet fruity flavor has a litthe peach and apricot with a hint of bubblegum, a peppery bite and light dry orange rind finish. Medium body is tangy with moderate carbonation.
