Old quick review from 2009 - Taste is full of candied sugar, fruit, and honey. A real treat.

A: The beer pours a clear golden orange color with a tall white head.
S: Reeks of sugar. Cloying as any beer I’ve smelled with over ripe bananas and spices being the only break from the sugar (not that they really help much). Bubblegum and cotton candy only add to the problem.
T: This is so sweet, it’s almost got a grainy texture to it. Sugar, sugar, and more sugar with cotton candy, bubblegum, and overly ripe fruits such as bananas and apples. A strong spice character of clove that is also unpleasant.
M: Syrupy with medium carbonation.
O: Unenjoyable on all fronts. I know it’s sort of a dick move to bash this beer considering its purpose, but it’s just not good.

Pours a golden yellow - aromas of banana and Belgian yeast. A love a good triple, and this did not disappoint. Very drinkable, why can’t more of Stone’s brews be available in my area!?

18th March 2009 Hazy amber beer. Soft palate with some syrupyness towards the finish. Creamy malt with undertones of banana and gentle spices. A restrained and well behaved tripel that goes down easily.

(22oz bomber thanks to Ericandersnavy) cloudy golden-orange pour with little head. Nose of apple juice, Belgian yeast, caramel, and honey. Taste of bread, honey, caramel, light Belgian yeast spiciness. Loving the palate linger, soft carbonation that contributes well to the flavor profile.

Bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color with a white head. Attractive aroma of clove, ginger, subdued apricot, and mango. Medium bodied and delicately sweet with light warming alcohol, clove, mango, pale malt, and white pepper. There were also occasional hints of coconut and gin. Good stuff.

22oz bottle at stone bistro a couple months back. let me start off by saying that no matter what my rating says a beer brewed for charity that supports childhood illness gets a perfect 5. no argument. but i will rate it as well because it’s a damn tasty beer. pours a bright gold with a big, rocky, bright white head and tight lacing. aroma is great with huge spice notes of clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg with fruity lemon zest, banana esters, and doughy yeast. flavor is delicious as well, uniquely spicy, with sweet, biscuity yeast, clove, cinnamon, and light cedar with light citrus fruits and wet grass and floral hops on the back end. palate is medium bodied, effervescent, and nicely bitter. overall, a damn good beer for an even better cause.

Nice shot at a tripel style from Stone. Definitely more Belgian than Stone’s hop backed other efforts...sure they had to restrain themselves from going more the Cali Belique route. Nice golden color, full body, terrific belgian aromas, mostly honey. Nice clean finish with a full palate..peters out a little earlier than expected, but that’s about my only complaint.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours clear yellowish gold with a thin white head and a huge fruity aroma. There is a standard tripel flavor with some banana ester and a peppery finish.
