Commercial Description:
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

22 ounce bottle shared by cdumler. Thanks! Pours a clear and very vivid orange color with a thin head, light lacing and very poor head retention. The aroma is bubblegum, pineapple, banana, cotton candy, clove and caramel. Taste is pineapple, clove and caramel. More tart and earthy than the aroma. Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Tap at Stone Bistro. Nice Belgian style triple that works well with their redfish dish. Nice balance of Belgina style yeast and breadiness with the typcial Stone hop profile. Very smooth with a creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle. A golden orange with nicely flowing bubbles and a quickly vanishing white head. Strong Belgium yeast nose with some bubble gum, cinnamon, and some apple. Spicy toned yeast flavors, floral flavors, honey also. Pretty full mouth with a dry sticky finish. Enjoyable. Belgiums are growing on me a tad more.

Bottle from BMan1113VR. Orange color with almost no head but what is there is soapy and white. Nose and taste are both honey, caramel, banana, winter spices, coriander. Well balanced and medium finish beer that has a sticky mouthfeel. Good beer.
