COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

Bottle (thanks reakt). Sweetish and alcoholic, with less finesse than its Belgian counterparts. This has some slightly estery citrusy fruit characters, with some noticeable alcohol. I prefer Stones hoppier anglo styles more.

Thanks to ghawener. Drank it at El Flor for New Years Eve. Nice brew from Stone. This tripel is well balanced with the classic hoppiness of American brews.

Pours a crystal clear light gold with a small head. Aroma of malt, cloves, and a little banana. Lightly spiced malt flavors and has a smooth almost buttery finish. Very nice brew.

Bottle thanks to Hophead22. Poured yellow in color with big white head. Aroma was sweet, banana, and yeast. Taste was fruity, honey, and hops. Well balanced and a good beer.

22oz bottle. thanks to my buddy paul in SD>....pours a vivis orange brown with a soapy fluffy white head.... earthy, candied sugar mustiness, and yeast makes up the nose with a little bit of honey and spice. nice head retention....flavors of sugary malt, light banana. and mild fruit without a long-lasting finish. medium mouthfeel and carbonation. decent tripel but its still hard to turn me onto the style.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with large foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of fruity ester is dominating and quite enjoyable. Taste is a nice mix between some fruity ester and light sweet Belgian style malt. Taste is really smooth and alcohol is well hidden as well as any peppery yeast notes usually associated with the style. Maybe a tad too sweet but very well done overall.

On tap at the brewery circa 2008. Aroma and taste are both quite soapy. Some banana and clove esters are present from the yeast. This beer was quite mediocre and disappointing. I’m just happy that my money went toward a good cause, or I would have felt entirely ripped-off.

Poured a cloudy gold with a small head. Aromas of banana and honey. Flavors of banana, caramel, honey, clove, and modest hops. Very easy to enjoy and drink.
