Commercial Description:
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

A citrusy aroma. Appearance is a cloudy yellow with a rather small head. It tastes pretty sweet with a slight sour lemon edge. The aftertaste is a bit acidic and sort of mediciney. A pretty good beer just not alot to it.

Cookie dough, yeast aroma that is quite sweet with notes of candy sugar and burnt brown sugar/caramel. Orange-tan with thin tan head that diminishes to cover. Sweet apples, marzipan and honey - mead-like, with notes of burnt caramel sugar in the finish. Medium body but somewhat small in the mouth. Bottle enjoyed with beerbuzzmontreal, lubiere, MartinT and Rastacouere.

Golden-amber body with a slight haze wears almost no head at all which disappoints a bit for a tripel. Honest aroma consisting mostly of gentle yeast notes and mead-like maltiness (honey, flowers, clovers). Moderate spiciness, herbs and mild smokiness. Rather perfumey palate, spicy (rosemary, basil), honey attack and candi sugar dominates a mild alcohol character. Nice soft carbonation, medium bodied. Average tripel.

Slightly cloudy golden color with almost no head. Aroma of honey and yeast. Sweet flavor of honey, fruits and yeast, feel a bit like mead. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, liquorous texture.

Appearance: golden hue, with a pure, milky whitewhead...lovely! Aroma: sweetness and spice, a perfect tripel feel, highly sugared, overwhelmingly pleasant, light, and. oh, so, nice. Taste: sublime. Just perfect. Throws me back, thrusts me into a sublime state, utterly out-of-this-world, that sort of brew that sends you into something other -than-the-norm, did I say, perfect? With an abundant fruitiness, peach, apricot, citrus, and more, ...the finish is swift, but thirsty, in that it mouake you ache for more," where’s my Sawyer’s Tripel", you scream! Honestly, it’s like that, not too big, not too small, just so-right, damn, but they made a perfect tripel, sweet, but not too much so, tasty, but just enough, refreshingly simple, but thoroughly complex...Great job, Stone, once again!!!

Nice dark yellow color with smallish head. Nice malty & pepper aroma to go along with light citrus of lemons & orange. Tastes of papaya, honey, more pepper, yeast, light caramel and cloves. Slightly hoppy and really well balanced. Just a tad sweet, but thats ok.
