Commercial Description:
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

Pungent nose - yeasty, bright orange color, no head. Thin start with some coriander. Creamy malt residue. Very respectable. Light, smooth and refreshing. A little alcohol, but doesn't come across too strong.

Nice brown coulour with a nice bubbly foam. Spices and alcool aroma with some light hops. Banana, pinenapple, and sweet malts marry well together, with alcool warmth and rich body....very pleasant beer.

The beer as it vamooses from the 22 ounce bottle pours a resplendent lucid golden-orange with a diminutive bright white head that is creamy in texture, the lace a wispy silk like sheet to obscure the glass. The aroma of over ripe fruit, yeast and a sugar cookie like sweetness pervades this crisp and appetizing nose, start is ambrosial with a personable malt profile, the top is middling in its feel to the palate. Finish has a salubrious acidity and the hops saporous with the aftertaste dry and long lasting, a quite quaffable and thirst quenching beer.

A friend and I split a case of this to help the cause. Truly sad circumstances that made this beer come about. Excellent spice and fruit scent. Tastes of banana, apple, citrus, alcohol, hops and something else which I can't put my finger on. When Stone does a Belgian, they do a great job.

Pours cloudy hazy yellow-orange color, has a small white foamy head of small bubbles that doesn't last long. Fruity and spicy flowery aromas. Fruity bready and spicy yeasty flavors. Full bodied with soft carbonation, full and round mouthfeel, alcohol is hardly noticed, a really enjoyable tripple. I would like to thank herbjones for sending me this great brew.

Sweet floral wine aroma that pours out clear and golden yellow with almost no head. Sweet fruity flavor that reminds me of a wine cooler, too sweet almost candy like. Very thin mouth feel and metallic aftertaste. I can honestly say this is not my favorite offering from the Stone Brewing Company.

Thanks to Stubby & SDbruboy for sending me some bottles of this. This was my beer of choose for the Eagles/Panthers game. This was a Stone beer?!?!. You wouldn't tell from drinking it. Had a very spicy flavor to it. Nice dry ending.

Very yeasty, but not astringent. I didn't know what to expect from a Stone Belgian. But this beer is definitely not dominated by hops, I don't even smell hops in the aroma, so kudos to Stone for sticking to the Belgian style. A little more ABV and this would be a real winner. Thanks jcalabre!
