Commercial Description:
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

This belgian pours with a golden orange body topped by a thin to medium thick white head with some lacing left behind. The aroma just flows to the nose as soon as the beer is poured. The aroam is sweet and malty with citrusy notes, a touch of spice and a slight yeastiness. The flavor is slightly sweet, citrusy and malty with a slight spiciness and a very slight touch of yeast. A very tastey brew. Medium to full bodied, tingly from the carbonation yet smooth and slightly warming.

Golden/amber color, small white head. Aroma was citrusy, spicy and malty. Subtly sweet, orangy and spicy flavor. Soft and smooth, but full. Very nice. Thanks a bunch Kimchee.

Cheers to Kimchee for getting this rarity! Pale, bright yellow. Fruity aroma (apricot, peach, pear) with marshmallow. Sweet palate is fruity (pear, peach), vibrant textures and flowery esters. Well-hidden alcohol. Slightly tart in the finish, with lemony notes.

Crystal clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of coriander seed, curacao and strong sugars. Medium to full-bodied; Sweet flavourful-fruity (peaches, pears, apricots and grapes) with some normal curacao and coriander seed. Aftertaste was sweet and clean-fairly nice. Very good for the style and fairly nice from Stone (Which always is NOT the case!). I had this bottle at the Winter Party at Oakes' place in Toronto, Canada on 05-December-2003. Many thanks to KimChee for bringing up this beer-one of the highlights from the night! Even though I only had a few centilitres of this to sample, I did take my time and make it a one hour (or so) sampling!

Very little head on this copper clear ale. Flavors of citrus with a touch of sweet pears and a nice clean finish. Nice & thick when swirled in a glass. Thanks to jcalabre for shipping this up!

Dark yellow body with no lingering head. Slightest hint of spice and floral hops in the aroma. Tast is pleasantly sweet and thick and melds exquisitely with the alcohol. Many thanks to Kimchee!
