4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 andyhwcinc (807) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 1, 2010
I purchased this bomber while at the Stone World Bistro, consumed with friends in Portland, OR. Pretty impressed by this stuff, but couldn’t drink it often. Appearance is cloudy gold with a thin head. Aroma consisted of hay, Belgian yeast, vanilla, banana, and cloves. Taste is rich in bananas, also can really taste the Belgian yeast with a slightly sour mouth feel. This is very good stuff, but again, couldn’t drink often.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 ewestern (254) - Ohio, USA - JUN 15, 2010
Bottle from BOLTZ7555 - Cloudy golden pour with a thin white head. Sweet malty aroma of banana, bread, vanilla and citrus. Flavor is the same, mostly malty, with mild banana bread and vanilla, honey and spices coming through. Smooth with just a hint of carbonation coming through. Not much in the way of lacing. Just the right amount of complexity.

Golden tangerine pour with a short lived ivory head that left some sticky lacing inside the glass. Aroma is banana, citrus, clove, bisquit, and honey. Quite sweet but not at all cloying. Very fruity with some Macintosh apple notes. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty darn good.

Hard to say anything negative about this brew when you read the back of the bottle. Good thing this is an excellent beer and there isn’t anything negative to say! Pours oak orange with a quick white head. Sweet aroma with hop and clove piercing through. Chewy in the cheeks and full of flavor. I wish I wish I could get this in KC. I’m never in SD. This is an encouraging beer.

20100410 Bomber shared by dmac. Medium gold color with quick white head. Aroma is tropical with pineapple, orange, and then some spruce and earthy hops. Hops have some dusky, cellar notes to the. Spicy yeast throughout and prominent alcohol notes remind that this a tripel. Clean, even, medium eff. A bit thin, oily even, at the finish. Thanks for sharing Dave!

Much thanks to Dmac for sharing this one. Pours out a bubbly, well carbonated attractive golden color with a small white head. Aroma of spice mostly clove, yeast light fruity notes, mainly apple. Taste is smooth and well balanced, fruity notes of banana, apple and pear with some clove and slight yeasty notes. Definitely a solid one by Stone once again.
