Commercial Description:
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

Dark Gold. The nose was full of light fruits and spicy hops. The flavor was great and very well balanced. Light fruits dominated the palate. Lots of orange and some banana as well as some spicyness. Pretty hoppy but remarkably drinkable.

22 oz bomber from Ebay! Nose is slightly sweet candisugar, lots of cloves and corriander, and some yeasty goodness. clear dark gold with a medium, glass lcaing beige cream colored head. Flavor is very clovey spices, contrasting light sweetness and bitterness, white pepperiness, and white breadiness. Finish has a smidgeon of bitterness. Quite enjoyable!

Bottle: Pale golden pour with a nice beige head. Nose is light and fruity. Some Belgian spices with a little yeast and some breadiness. Well balanced. Flavor is rather rich in fruity and spicey notes. Light yeast. A bit of cloves stands out. Cidery notes and a light vinous fruit element. Smooth. Thanks Toby.

Big thanks to markwise for bringing this to the weekly tasting. This beer has eluded me going back to its initial release. Pours clear gold with thin white head. The aroma is perfumy, lemony then sweetness and various spice notes join the fun. I’m also getting notes of berries and faint cardboard with additional draws. The taste begins with a wave of sugar sweetness then mild lemon tart notes surface to go along with hints of apple, coriander, raisins and a touch of pepper. Very nice.

Bottle from BMan1113VR. Orange color with almost no head but what is there is soapy and white. Nose and taste are both honey, caramel, banana, winter spices, coriander. Well balanced and medium finish beer that has a sticky mouthfeel. Good beer.

ON tap at Stone Winter Storm. Hazy golden yellow with a creamy white head. Malty sweet fruity aroma. Taste of banana and fruit with a mild caramel taste.
