Billy Goat Trail Ale, brewed to be a refreshing ale lightly hopped with a good balance of premium 2 row and light crystal malts. This beer is brewed with a combination of locally grown hops and a new hop variety grown in the southern hemisphere, hints of grapefruit.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2014 Aroma aside this is a fairly tastey pale with a nice bitter finish. The locally grown hops blend nicely with the NZ strain and the moderate ABV makes this easy to enjoy. Unfortunately, something is off in the aroma. What seems most likely to be DMS swamps most of the hop and malt notes. Could definitely use some dextrine to thicken up the mouthfeel and help with head retention

22oz bottle - I picked this up at Johnny Mac’s in the 16 Acres neighborhood of Springfield, MA. The aroma was grass and a hint of grapefruit. The citrus and crisp malt make this refreshing, and the light body and light carbonation make this a perfect session ale. There is a hint of wheat bread flavor as it warms up. Very nice
