Our Session brew. A well balanced, tawny coloured beer with a hoppy aroma.

Pint: Nov 2006. Drank at The Crown Inn, Oakengates, a well known and loved Real Ale pub. This beer looked great, sadly it went down hill from there. A very clear beer, dark amber in colour with a thin white head which stayed for the whole pint (normal sleeve pint glass). The aroma was almost nowhere and nothing, the beer came a bit colder than I normally like, but even as the beer warmed up, only a faint hint of beery hops came from the liquid. It tasted OK, a dry malt flavour, but nothing to shout about. Very watery mouthfeel, nothing to it at all. If only it had tasted and smelt as good as it looked, but it didn’t!

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Deep copper colour with a light malt aroma. On the palate it is slightly sweet and mainly malty, with just a hint of earthy hop. Not a lot else happening. A solid, but rather run of the mill session bitter (despite the dark colour) .

Gravity cask @ Reading Beer Festival 2006. Slight chocolate in the malty start. A luittle sweetness but well balanced by a generic hop flavour in the finish.

Russett and gold in colour. Aroma is fruity with a good body and some sulphur. Saltiness in evident in the flavour along with fruity malts with a tang on the finish. A reasonable bitter.

Hand pumped at "The Linny" Coffinswell, Devon, England. Quite frothy for a hand pumped cask ale. Amber brown liquid that is supprisingly clear. Fruity flavor. Medium maltiness, good dry bitter finish.
