joss (3248), Garching b. München, Germany May 2, 2008 Bottle. Golden, off-white foam. Spicy bisquit malt, aromatic hop aroma. Medium chewy body, slick mouthfeel, grainy base, green apples and a hint vegetables, aromahops. Orangepeel retronasal. Overall pleasant enough I though.
pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany May 31, 2008 Bottle: Golden, small, stable and lacy white head; sweet-grainy, a bit honeyish nose; moderate sweet, slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied; distinctive hoppy traces in the sweet-bitter finish. Good stuff....... MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Apr 28, 2008 (bottle, as Winterzauber, which is the same brew as the Oster-Festbier) Clear, golden colour with a short foamy white layer. A bit dusty, slightly sweet, pale and cara-malty aroma with subtle fruity notes of citrus and a light milky touch. Light-bitter flavour with a moderate malty sweetness, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation; dry, malt-accented finish with a light but noticeable herbal hops character. Likeable, but not that special (28.04.08). Quack-Duck (1976), Bodensee, Germany Mar 13, 2008 bottle. Clear golden-amber colour, large head. Malty and slightly sweet with hints of herbs and marzipane. Slightly fruity. MiP (6337), Flensburg, Germany Feb 27, 2008 Bottle, 5.2%. Unpleasant aroma, old dust and sewer. Clear dark golden colour, small white head. The flavour is a little sweet with some strange spiciness and harsh alcohol. Not exactly bad, but slightly unpleasant.
