Blom (647), Odense, Denmark Apr 20, 2008 Dirty brown with a good head. Aroma of banana and oranges. The flavour is sweet caramale-like and salty. Disspointing compared to other fine dunkelweissen.
Wal (5), Berlin, Germany does not count Sep 4, 2008 I’m a big fan of the Hofer, and was delighted in finding this version of Frankfurt’s finest.
It is not as dark as an average Dunkle, and seemed a little light in the first taste. There is defiantly a bit of a banana taste to it but it is too thin. If I was blindfolded I would not think it was a dunkle, there is no malt aroma. It is too refreshing, but overall disappointed, and the taste is average.
DerWeg (432), Tronna, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2008 Bottle Leipzig department store. Bland thin and dull, a bit fruity. Does have some spice on the top (cardamom) - seems too dry overall. But refreshing. Thin hoppy aroma. Mildly sweet. plovmand (577), Helsinge, Denmark Aug 29, 2008 Bottle. Thanks a bunch faroeviking. Cloudy amber brown colour with a huge creamy light beige head.
