Stronger, bolder flavor than you expect from something this cheap/corn-y (no, I meant CORN) which is interesting if not necessarily good. Scores points with me for growing hair on your chest. Extra cool can, too, and a great way to impress your friends. I've been saving this beer for my 100th rating! jerkadilly74 (155), mooresville, Indiana, USA

The flavor really took me by suprise. A bit heavier than I expected but in a good way. Lots more personality than some of it's cheap counterparts. Tastier than Budweiser by a long shot. Also a cool can. Broaden your horizons, try something new. Have some of these in your fridge next time you have some friends over. They will be delighted once they try this beer. frogger (36), reston, Virginia, USA

Even the Light version isn't bad for a cheap beer. But, like other regional beers taken over by those folks at Pabst, this was better before their takeover.

The flavor is crisp with a hint of some hops. Its not "hoppy" for sure but it does have a little more character than your average american swill. For $2.99 a sixer if you are broke and in the mood for something lighter for summer it will do. topper71 (19), USA

You know - that taste that brings you back to when you would sneak sips of your grandpa's beer when you were 5. It's a beer that needs to be appreciated. | 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 4, 2003 The king of corn beers, folks. Step right up and get yourself a can of the best tasting corn beer you'll ever drink. Actually, if
you're looking for a true corn beer, and who isn't ;>) ? You can't do much better ( or worse, depending on how you look at it )
than good old Schaefer. Pours out looking just like a ear of corn on the cob, a sickly, fake yellow color to it. Actually tastes
like buttered corn on the cob too. Has plenty of diacetyl for that rich, buttery taste. The hops actually aren't so bad in this beer.
Must be around 12 IBU's in there. Believe it or not, it is a balanced beer, bringing both taste and bitterness together. I used to
drink a case of this stuff every weekend, but not any more. My body just doesn't heal from hangovers that well these days.
