Bottle. Cloudy amber with a pockmarked head. Aroma is musky bready malt. Flavour is sweetish honey, bread and yeast on a dusty yeast finish.

Short head and a dark amber color. Hoppy and malty aroma. Hoppy taste with a small caramel taste

Dunkles Bernstein, minimal trüb, gute Schaumentwicklung. Hefig-malziges Bouquet mit Citruseinschlag. Getreidig malziger Geschmack, lieblich nach Honig und Fudge. Bittert aromatisch herb nach. Angenehmes Zwickl.

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2013 Unpale brown/amber colour. Steady head. Taste of warm brown bread, light pumpernickel, yeast, malt and mild hops. Nice one.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Milky brown colour with steady head and medium body. Taste of malt, honey, caramel and hops. Although this beer is really tangy it is also quite dull on the other side. I liked but didn’t enjoy it.

Nothing special here, compared to other keller/zwickl’s consumed in same session. Tasted rather flat compared to similar style biers. Color and head looked about right, but taste was flat. I had visited this brauerei in the early 90’s when they weren’t bottling, and hoped for better...

It’s hazy bronze with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel and fruit. The flavor is moderately sweet with notes of malt, caramel, fruit and the finish is slightly dry.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Im Glas steht dann ein orange-gelbes, leicht hellbräunliches Bier mit guter, mittelflacher, feiner, langlebiger Krone. Schon beim Ausschenken strömt ein fruchtiger Geruch in die Nase, sehr intensiv. Der Antrunk erfolgt spritzig säuerlich, fruchtig, etwas orange kommt durch. Insgesamt verhält sich alles sehr mild. Der Abgang ist ebenfalls sehr zurückhaltend. Dezent fruchtig zitrus-säuerlich und orangig. Sehr angenehm trinkbares, spritzig frisches Zwicklbier!

Geruch hopfig-herb mit süßlichen Einschüben. Antrunk hopfig. Mitte würzig mit aromatischenTönen. Mild abbitternd im Schluß. Durchaus angenehmes Bier.Test vom 13.5.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass as well. A bit darker than exspected, nice head. Starts a bit moldy-yeasty, modest sourish, some fruity notes of apricot. Finish well balanced, not as moldy as the beginning, quite drinkable. Not bad!
