[thank you Skortila/caesar]
Pours deep brown with a giant, frothy, beige head. Fizzes away rather slowly. Mild toasted toffee aroma, light milky chocolate and a touch of roasted malts. A bit weak mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Flavour is lovely, though. Mild, elegant roastiness, milky chocolate. Toffee and a touch of coffee. Very long, lingering aftertaste. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland Jun 16, 2009 Bottled.
Thanks bierkoning!
Deep brown color, good creamy beige head. Toasted coffeish, licorice aroma, a bit similar to Slottskällans IS. Later also some earth and metal. Flavor is suprsingly quite weak and mouthfeel is thin and watery for a beer of this strength. Light coffee, toasted malts, chocolate, but these flavors are painfully toned down. Soft it is anyway. Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Mar 26, 2009 Pours a lightish brown for a stout- nice foamy head. Aroma is a nice roasty barely- light coffee, with licorice hints. Smooth chocolate and nutty toasted malts, roasted barley light espresso, star anise and leather with a clean bitter finish. As it warms you get some slight burnt rubber burnt toast and charred wood.
