A dark brown/red colored beer, with a big foamy head. The aroma of malts, little coffee and toffee. Some tones of dark fruits. The taste of roasted malt, coffee, a little chocolade and prune. A lith bitter aftertaste.

Hard to get stout from the Netherlands. Dark almost black in colour, steady head thick foam. Very roasted almost coffe like taste. Delicious beer.

Bottle thanks to ronnie! Quite a rare beast, however that does not make it good. Roasty, alc present, candy sugar, quite floural, molasses are key. Not really my style and pritty one dimentional.

from crackedkettle.com - dark black coloured, solid and persistant beige foam; fair aroma of chocolate with subtle hints of vanilla and prunes, medium-bodied and with a creamy mouthfeel; very low bitterness; moderately dry coffeeish aftertaste with some notes of licorice - delicate and subtle

Nice retro label. Very dark brown or black, with a brown head. A brown deposit collected on the base of the glass. Sweet chocolate aroma. Taste is very sweet and ashy with a mid bitter finish. Too fizzy, but very good.

This is a very good stout! Nice malty with a note of chocolate and a fine bitterness. On draft in ’t Arendsnest and the pilsener club in Amsterdam

A Mes rate: Bottle at London Drinker.
Totally black with a thick as funk tan head. Big nutty chocolate malt aroma. Similar flavour. Not brimming with character but still tasty with loads of chocolate in the finish. Heavily over carbed however and I’m sure it’s being held back somewhat as a result.

Bottle @ London Drinker Fest, 2008. Aroma of chocolate, wine, dates, bread, cream, coffee and alcohol. Pours a pitch black beer ith thick beige head. Soft silk roasted (subtle) vinous. Malty some sweetnes - nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours pitch black with a medium head and a sourish coffeeish aroma. The flavor is sweet, like a cold coffee with sugar-syrup and some sparkling bubbles. Nice roasted coffee, but too sweet for me.

Bottle@Home. Coffee aroma. Black color, light brown head, good lace. Light sweet malty, roasted, coffee, hint of black chocolat. Roasted dry mouthfeel. Flavorful and well balanced. Many thanks to whoever left it during our last tasting session!
