COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle at Pauls for the FF 2015 tasting. Pours an amber body with white lacing. Mouthfeel is medium to light with notes of crisp grains, malt, light spice, a touch of fruit and sweet nutty character.

Bottle shared at Max and Andy’s Tasting, 2/28/15
I only seem to have limited notes on this one, unfortunately. Which basically equates to a score and the fact that this is an alright beer. I’ll add more next time if/when I try this one again.

Pours a clear reddish amber with a light tan head. The smell is toasted malt, mild fruit, hint of brown sugar. The taste is toasted malt, some sweetness with a dry biscuity end. Light body with active carbonation. Rather pedestrian.

McTapps (5323) - Ruhrcity, GERMANY - JAN 25, 2015
Bottle from Getränkemarkt Fristo in Bamberg. The beer has got a deep amber colour with a steady head and medium body. Aroma of malt and barley with some vanilla hints. Taste of roasted malt, roasted hops, barley, bread, nuts and vanilla. Hints of caramel. Easy drinkable with a grainy finish. Average, solid one.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 3A). Bottle 50 cl @ Kaiserburg Nuremberg. AROMA: malty background with some straw notes. some floral hop notes present. APPEARANCE: ruby color with some orangeish highlights and hazy. white head with poor retention. TASTE: soft malty sweetness with some bready notes. medium bitterness with a semi-dry finish. PALATE: low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: an interesting rotbier.
