2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Medium gold amber clear with a smallish short lasting pale yellow head. Short strong fruity malt followed by a faint plasticky plasticene aroma. Sourdough graininess malt aroma returns on glass swirl but the plasticene peturbs me too much. Medium Thin watery body. Medium mild soudough malt and floral bitter hops flavours. Intriguing wheat beer like end before moving to a strong low sweetness dry slightly stalish hoppy bitter finish. Iím not a big fan ofpale lagers but this one is at least a bit interesting. I wouldnít mind trying a fresh one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy blonde coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of coriander seed, wheat and whole oranges. Medium-bodied; Spicey flavour with coriander seed, nutmeg & wheat-VERY flavourful! Aftertaste spicey and full flavoured. Overall, one of the best lagers iíve had-I think itís a wheat! Afterwards...STRONG meaty flavours with beef stock, potatoes & celery!! WIERD! Tasting this after the Cascade 4 Seasons, these tastes come out, but prior, the wheaty tastes come out. Still, a crazy brew that is unpasteurised and very refreshing. I sampled this pint at the Australian Hotel on the Rocks in Sydney, Australia on 09-June-2004.

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sampled this after the Cascade 4 seasons autumn and experienced a most rare phenomenon. Perhaps I needed to wash my palate, but as there was no water available I couldnít. I sampled this lager and tasted nothing but chicken broth and onions. Just like momís chicken soup in a bottle, even with hints of carrots and celery. Weird!?! I have to give this beer a slight benefit of the doubt since it was not its fault I didnt drink it first and also because I will not be able to retest it until I go back to Australia. This rating will have to do for now.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
What a solid around larger! Nice clear golden apperence. Looks inviting in the glass and doesnít dissapoint on the palate. Light subtle fruitness with smooth munich malt taste. Just the thing for a sunday afternoon. Prefer it the the bock as it just a lttle more novel. Wouldnt say it breaks the mold, just a bit surprising.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught, at the Australian Hotel, Sydney.
Golden with a nice smooth fluffy white head. Feral organic larger aroma with honey and rustic hop notes. Some smooth, lightly roasted malt notes as well. A good drop that I wish I could have had more of but the volume of choice was against me.

A one-month shelf life? No worries there. A cloudy and tasty drop, and if youre ever in Sydney, swing by the Australian Hotel and you can get it on tap. Mother's milk!
