Very gloomy labelled bottle gives me 330 ml of dark reddish brown almost black coloured beer with a tiny tan head. The aroma is sweetish malty and liquoricy. The flavour is bready malt, mild sweetness, salt and liquorice. Watery. Not the best example of Schwarzbier but not that undrinkable either.

Pours deep black with small head. Smells malty sweet with caramel. Starts with lots of roasted malts and sweet caramel. Middle part is very roasty with some bitter coffee notes. Finish is bitter-dry with bitter roasted malts.

Black with a thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate, cream, caramel. Taste is coffee, toffee, an oak like character, faint alcohol.

Bottled@vPBFII. Very deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is rye, some toast, mild salted liquorice and quite earthy. Flavour is caramel, toffee, rye and some toasted.

Pours a dark brown with a white head. Aroma of toasted malts, raisins and some berries. Flavour of toasted malts, raisins, sugar, berries and herbal notes. Light bodied, thin mouthfeel and a finish of cardboard and some maltiness. Past it’s prime.

Aroma has butter, some roasty notes and starchy, malty notes. Flavour has harsh malt, some roastiness and hints of cardboard. Nothing much.

(bottle) pours a darkest clear ruby colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of pear, straw and caramel, with a hint of bubble gum and cardboard. flavour is mostly caramel, cherries and light toasted malts, with notes of burnt toffee and raisins. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle looks okay, beer in the glass deep black, small head. Starts intense malty, very dusty-malty and roasty. A bit too much I think. Finish mild, boring-malty. Not so good.

Bottle. Dark brown, very small and fully light brown diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and light roasted malt with light bread. Body is light to medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light roasted malt with light bread. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, light caramel and light roasted malt with faint coffee. Sweetish schwarzbier - lacks character.
