Clear amber beer, creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, bit nutty, toast, earthy leather touch. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, caramel, little metallic, toast, herbal touch, hint of chocolate. Aftertaste: little bitter, caramel, pretty hoppy, herbal touch, bit metallic.

rich malty bodied with byes of apricots and chocolate malt. Long long lingering chocolate finish with a hint of fruit. Nice.

On tap at the brewpub in Heidelberg, Germany Poured a coppery color with an off white head. Aroma waste malt and caramel. Taste is a sweet old fruit with some malty flavor. Palate is light and bitter.

On tap. Pours amber with a slight haze and a white head. Malty nose with a whiff of caramel. Medium body with pretty much the same flavours as the nose reveals, again a dryish hop finish if a little more subtle than the Kräusen. 180510

Tap. Light hazy amber, lacing offwhite head. Fruity nose, light strawberry. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. Straw malt, fruit, ok balance. Quick finish. Light metallic and berries retronasal.

Dark coppery colored with little yellow head. Sweet and caramelly, toffeeish aroma with berries, strawberries. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor has also this berriness with chocolate and licorice in start, aftertaste dries nicely. Good and interesting dunkel.

Draught Pale amber with amberish tinted, very dense head. Toasted nsoe, fresh malts, light-coloured malts impression. Dry, light-coloured malts with very little restsweetness, but just a whiff of aromahops. Very slight burning MF, light bodied, thin but not really empty. Oh well. Average, if not too sweet.

Light amber color, clean. Simple aroma, but quite nice taste, mix of malt (dry) and soft caramel. Quite strong ending bitterness. Well brewed, enjoyable.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2008 Bottle. Sweet brown sugar malt with grass hops aroma unusual for the style. Cloudy orange tan color with small head. Nice sweet barley malt flavor with a moderate hops finish. A hoppier kellerbier.
