JoeinUccle (689), Brussels, Belgium Nov 12, 2007 33 cL at Take One in Maastricht. Golden beer with decent white head and nose of caramel sugar, oranges, honey, coriander. Sweet beer with light bitterness and boozy notes. Medium to full body. A bit wet. I found it nice enough, but a little too sweet and out of balance.
rederic (1444), montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 3, 2008 Slight hazy honey gold hue, with an-off white head, yeasty, fruity nose of candied peaches, marmalade and curaçao, with a touch of coriander spiciness, some honeyed pale malts in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, sweet honeyed pale maltr character, with some fruity accents of peach, marmalade, apricot, still has spicy coriander note, with a mellow candi sugar, honey mouthfeel, leading towards a malty, faint lingering hop bitterness finish. fonefan (4850), Ulfborg, Denmark Sep 9, 2008 Bottle 33cl @ [ Tasting in Ulfborg ]. Light unclear light to medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, moderate yeasty, horse blanket, soap. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (110708) Fukito (595), Buenos Aires, Argentina Sep 7, 2008 Bottle, September 08. Slightly hazy golden orange color with a nice, denese, creamy white head. Spicy, yeasty aroma with some earthy hops. Spicy, fruity flavor, evident coriander, some citric notes with a warming finish. Medium to light mouthfeel, flavor packed but with a nice dry finish that keeps it really drinkable in spite of its strength. Nice, creamy, spicy tripel. FatPhil (2351), Espoo, Finland Sep 3, 2008 330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Rich orange, floaty bits, tiny head. Very light, almost wheaty, maltiness - sweet and with lots of light fruits. Pleasant carbonation in the mouth. Sweet and malty body, quite simple at first, mostly lightly roasted malts, but soon a tingly hoppy bite kicks in. Evidence of alcohol as it helps waft the fruity vapours up the nose, but that’s entirely fitting, no harshness at all. Something almost leguminous in the aftertaste. Not as good as some of their other brews, but still pretty solid. CapFlu (3339), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Aug 31, 2008 (33cl) Sampled at the Brasseurs du Temps pre-party on August 27, 2008. Pours a thin, dissipating frothy head with a clear, light amber. Nose of milk, green leaf and pennies. Full-bodied, lactic, tonic with lemon finish. Okay. 4/3/4/2/9
