3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
6 sticky biscuity chocolate fudge brownie aroma.
4 Dark brown, brief head.
6 Rich and full biscuity and cakey taste.
4 Fullsome sweet palate, maybe a little stodgy, pleasant carbonation. Finish is again full and cakey, but again stodgy. There were also some hints of a bitter bite when it was cooler, but I’m not getting them now.
13 I prefer their more hefty beers, but this is a competent dubbel.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Beer looks good, nice brown foamy head and dark color with some red highlights. Smells good too, some banana, chocolate and lovely roasted coffee beans. Tastes really light. Raisins, some cherry and some malts. Nothing special, but quite tasty nonetheless. Recommendation if you’re looking for a dark beer during a hot day in the summer.

Kinda thin, not very sweet, little acidic? I’m a big fan of abbey dubbels, but this isn’t one of them
