Bottle. Blackish brown beer with a creamy and thickish off white head. The aroma is malty and rich and the flavour is warming, malty, rich and mildy sweet. Overall a nice malty and roasted beer.

Brownish colour with a thin thread of white as opposed to some head. Some yeast aroma and alcohol. Medium plus mouthfeel. Like a brown beer with some yeast, or a so-so brune. Dry aftertaste, not unpleasant.Via Bieropholie buying club.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting light brown body. Hazy dark brown body. Roasted malt aroma with notes of caramel. Flavor of roasted malt and dried fruit with low carbonation and a relatively long and bitter aftertaste.

Deep red beer with a good light-beige head. Creamy, liqueurish, alcohol, chocolate liqueur. Some yeastesters - liqueurcake. Bit oxydized flavours. Malty, chocolate malts and other very perfumed malts. Long aftertaste, the same flavours slowly fading. Very thick, chewy and viscous. Good one - I like Scheldebrouwerij. Cross my heart - already before they moved in here.

Unclear medium amber brown color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dusty, light to moderate yeasty, cheese, dried prune - apricots. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (110708)

Bottle, Pours hazy cobber-brown with a nice tan head, mostly dimnishing. Malty nose with caramel, yeast and brown sugar. Sweet flavour with caramel, malt and dried fruit. Medium to full bodied. Slightly bitter finish. A realy nice brew

Bottle @ home. Dark brown, off white head. Nose of brown sugar, dark fruits, chocolate. Taste is brown sugar, roasted malts, dark fruits and chocolate. Soft bitterness in the finish. Very smooth and really tasteful dubbel.

Tasted home 18 march ’08. Bottle, 33 cl. (Bought @ Geers) Hazy, red-brown color, with a nice off-white head. Aroma sweet malts, dark fruits. Medium body. Taste sweet, also dark fruits, (raisins and berries), bit caramel bitterness on the back.

Appearance: reddish brown color. Big head of ivory to pale beige color, semi-dense and lasting. Aroma: to caramel malts, slight chocolate and truffles smells. Intensive ripe fruity and semi-critic aromas, with reminiscences of plums, cherries and raisins. Vanilla cookies from yeasts. Very light clove smells. Flavors: toast malts in the start with caramel reminiscences. Toffee notes, slightly smoky and woody. Good balance of yeasts (not excessive), that with the toasted malts remember me a toast bread and vanilla cookies. Fruity taste similar to banana, candied plums, raisins and, maybe, blackberries. Reminiscences of chocolate with cherries that almost could be chewed. Some vinous and like cherries liquor. Semi-toasted, chocolaty and yeasty aftertaste. Palate: medium body and semi-oily. Low carbonation. Remark: interesting, semi-complex and balanced beer. Fruity and chocolaty touches that almost could be chewed.
