COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Ruiter (Hop Rider) has a full, almost rustic malt body, and pairs Belgian yeast-driven flavors with American assertive hoppiness. It is dry hopped, with two noble varieties which add complexity, delicacy and a bit of funk.

Better than the rating suggests. Tastes like asian food, shi-takii, umamu etc. Light, deceptive. On tap at cafe hesp

Tap at Vandaag. Hazy golden pour with a tight creamy white head. The aroma is great. Loads of fresh lemon zest hoppiness over a bright yeast spiciness. A little bit of white pepper and some faint banana as well. Bright and fairly zesty with a lovely fresh creamy palate. Soft texture with a soft bitterness on the back of a lot of pale wheaty spiciness. Crackery base malts as well - pretty damn solid.

Bottle. Poured a hazy pale color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus, yeast and small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex brew.

750mL. The pour is a hazed bright yellow, topped by a pillowy white head. Very nice retention and lace. Aroma is sugar heavy, herbal, floral, saison-like, yeast and must heavy, yellow apples, fruit, sorbet. Taste is sugary, malty, sweet, candi sugar, relatively rich. Somewhere between a hoppy saison and a tripel. Pretty nice.

Pours a clear deep golden with a well-lacing froth of white head. Has a lightly sweet biscuity malty nose with a floral hoppy nose and some yeasty esters. Starts with a lightly sweet chewy biscuity maltiness with a good piny hop flavor and bitterness before a drier bittersweet finish with some lingering floral hoppiness. A pretty true to style and enjoyable hoppy Belgian strong.
