COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Ruiter (Hop Rider) has a full, almost rustic malt body, and pairs Belgian yeast-driven flavors with American assertive hoppiness. It is dry hopped, with two noble varieties which add complexity, delicacy and a bit of funk.

Cloudy light golden, white head. Both aroma and taste have some hop, a lot of yeast, some funk. Low to medium body and carbo with a soapy mouth feel.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Light yellow in colour with a billowing head. Yeasty Belgian and yet also hoppy aroma, smells fantastic. It’s a hoppy Belgian ale, very floral with a decent lengthy finish. Enjoyable and very drinkable.

Sugary, yeasty aroma. Good label; muddy tan beer with flocculent floaters; thin white head. Pleasantly bitter, sour fruit, yeasty, green apple astringency, malting is a bit on the dry biscuity side when cold, sweeter as it warms. Frothy mouthfeel. New Leaf Market.

(bottle, 75cl) Cloudy, particle-laden pale golden coloured hue with a blond and fluffy mid-sized foam. Citrus-fruity (tangerine) and mildly spicy hoppy aroma with yeasty notes, pale malt and white bread. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Balanced pale malt-character with biscuity notes and an aromatic amount of noble hops, including notes of citrus, tangerine and grapefruit; the latter especially towards the sweet-bitter and lasting finish. I like those hoppy Belgians. 26.XII.12

Location: Draft at RnH, 1/19/13

Aroma: This one has a citrusy nose, with grapefruit, and some spice and malt notes
Appearance: It pours a cloudy gold color with a white head and some heavy lace on the glass
Flavor: This one has a citrus flavor as well, it is light sweet up front with some bitterness too
Palate: The palate is clean, it is light bodied, has a soft carbonation, and a lightly dry finish to it
Overall Impression: I didn’t think this beer was anything special, but it is solid and has some good components to it. The palate/feel was probably the standout part of the beer for me. It is a super easy drinker, especially considering the ABV. I’d certainly say it is worth trying.

Bottle:Golden, hazy, big rocky "bleached" head, dryish citrussy-grapefruity nose, some yeast underneath; moderate-bitter-sweet flavour, soft and medium bodied; citrussy-orangey aromas in the smooth bitter-sweet finish. Well done...

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy yellow orange with a thick frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty with some fruity notes. The flavour is more about the Belgian yeast than the hops, but there is some hoppy spiciness on the palate with a hint of sourness in the aftertaste. I liked this beer, but not as much as some others clearly have.

Bottle. Pours a very light golden color with towering foam on top. Big-time fruity essence here, with an assertive pineapple flavor up front. There’s an underlying acidity that just continues to remind me of pineapple juice. Very easy to drink for an 8.5% beer. (#4870, 12/26/2012)
