4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Notes: Pours a pale hazy yellow. Nose of dusty, dry yeast, mild table sugar sweetness, and a good sharp citrus hop kick. Flavor follows- grapefruit and lemon citrus hop notes and bitterness sit on top of a mild, restrained sweet body. Sweetness blends well with musty dry yeast character. Sharp bitterness. Very dry and clean on the palate and finish.
Overall, a great example of a hoppy belgian pale.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On keg at t’Waagstuk. Pours a cloudy blonde colour with a thick white head. Awesome hoppy aroma of pine, passion fruit and grapefruit with barley and caramel malt notes. Flavours of passion fruit upfront with some pineapple also. A little sweet but great balance between the hops and the candy sugar, barley and caramel tripel characteristics. Mild carbonation and CO2 prickle. Chewy mouth-feel with a long hoppy, caramel linger. Mild bitterness and a little dry to finish also. Very well done.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours cloudy golden with a thick, lacy, white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, floral hops, and caramel and bread malts. The flavor is hoppier than most tripels, but not too hoppy. Average texture. A good tripel, but I still want more hops.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: Pours a hazy, milky-yellow body with a very tall, expansive, white head. Great-looking laceworks on the descent.
Smell: Pale malted barley layered in pepper, non-pepper spice, and lemon zest with a candyish but also floral edge to it and fruity hints of pears, peaches, and citrus.
Taste: Faintly grainy tastes of pils and rather pale malts given a drop or two of simple syrup, one drop of honey. Orchard fruit juice fruitiness, then, some phenolic anise-hinted spiciness along with a pinch of ground pepper. Leafy, spicy hops with ample bitterness. A bit of the spice and bitterness still hanging about for the drying, warming finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-high, engaging carbonation.
Overall: It’s nice enough, but not entirely without some coarseness to it.
