Hop Ruiter (Hop Rider) has a full, almost rustic malt body, and pairs Belgian yeast-driven flavors with American assertive hoppiness. It is dry hopped, with two noble varieties which add complexity, delicacy and a bit of funk.

25oz bottle, no dates, nice big long diatribe from Vanberg Dewulf that says a lot of things about nothing on the label. Very pale golden yellow, nice big fluffy rocky white foam, nice retention. Aroma is some minty hoppiness, slight bit of bubblegum and a whif of acetaldehyde. Fairly high carbonation, slightly sweet, some green apple notes and slightly astringent bitterness.

From what I remember, nothing spectacular, but very pleasant. Classic Belgian Strong Ale that reminded me of many other beers, that’s why I can barely say it’s very special, but it surely isn’t disappointing. APPROVED BY TAVERNY BLACK METAL CREW !

33 cl botle at home. Appearance: unclear golden with medium white head. I end up with a cloud of yeast particles, eventhough I didn’t pour out all the yeast. Aroma: Hops are dominant in the aroma. Floral notes combined with pine resin, citrus and pepper. Taste: medium sweetness with medium bitterness. Bitter citrus and cereal notes. Yeast in the finish. Palate: full bodied, oily texture with fizzy carbonation.

Van ’t vat. Goudblond met witte schuimkraag. Geur: fijn huwelijk tussen de fruitige hopgeur en de moutzoetigheid. Wat dennehars, gras en citrus. Smaak: Mooie bitterheid. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: bitterig, droog.

Mooi goudblond licht troebel bier met oranje gloed. Romige witte schuimkraag. Aroma van appelsien, citrus. Lekker hoppig in de mond. Niet al te bitter. Afdronk had iets krachtiger gekund maar bier stelt zeker niet teleur.

Bottled, 330ml, aged 3.6yrs from Victoria Wine in Oakham, Rutland. Yellow gold with white head. There is a Belgian yeasty character from the start of this, lemon sherbert notes with pear drops. Some light spicing notes and a slight herby, grapefruit peel bitterness. Pretty reasonable.

Small frothy off-white diminishing head with cloudy dark yellow body. Light citrus hops. Slight dough yeast. Medium-light oily body with average carbonation. Average duration flavor lightly acidic and harshly bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

hazy golden colour, huge, long lasting off-white head; aroma of tropical fruits, floral notes, biscuit, some carrot and minimal citruses; tate of tropical fruits like mango, caramel, some piney and grassy notes, as well as hints of alcohol; not bad at all

At BX Arnhem Clear yellow, white lasting foam head. Weak aroma and bit watery taste, dissapointing a bit. (Arnhem 201509)
