Hop Ruiter (Hop Rider) has a full, almost rustic malt body, and pairs Belgian yeast-driven flavors with American assertive hoppiness. It is dry hopped, with two noble varieties which add complexity, delicacy and a bit of funk.

Bottle. Aroma reminiscent of exhaust, rubber cement, and the stuff used to make molds for plaster. Flavor moderately sweet and moderately bitter, and not surprisingly the same retronasal notes kick in immediately to wash away any hope of a pleasing experience. Could only actually manage one sip as the overpowering chemicals made me fear for my health. An all-timer to be sure.

A cloudy beer where the yeast still swims around. It has a white but firm layer of foam. It has a sour aroma like that of an IPA. It tastes quite bitter but the sourness is also present. The aftertaste is bittersweet and hangs on for a while.

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Slightly hazy mefium amber with a full white head cover, sheets of lace. Taste is grassy malt that adds floral and citrus hops on the swallow, mo0ving from there to a delicate malt/grass/floral hop finish. A solid brew that never reveals it’s alcohol.

Nice cloudy yellow colour with a big foamy head. Silty Sharp lemon aroma and some spices. Fresh! Sweet plum and malts, not do much hop tones. Also not do much carbonation. A bit dry aftertaste. Plums stay. A bit to sweet for me.

Bottle 33cl. Gusher, cloudy yellow golden color, big fluffy white head, dissipates quickly, thin layer remains; fruity aroma, orange peel, grapefruit, lemon grass, yeast; taste medium sweet and bitter, fruity, lemon notes; medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation, medium bitter aftertaste with sweet malty accents, herbal notes, fruity, alcohol well-hidden; overall acceptable ale, I miss some character.

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Tulip. Hazy, deep golden colour with an amber tint. Thin, dense white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, grasses, yeasts, floral and herbal hops, oranges. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity-bitter with spicy hops and yeasts. Nice Belgian trying to be an IPA. Lacks a bit of the high drinkability as Duvel has.

330ml bottle from a Belgian beer website. Pours amber with foamy white head. Orange boiled sweet aroma. Taste is sweet, hoppy with orange, spice and more boiled sweets. Not bad.
