Brewed from pale and caramel malts and heavily hopped with Hersbracker and Saaz hops, this is a beer for the connoisseur, who does not shy away from a robust hoppiness. Its full, smooth flavor makes it an ideal session beer.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2014 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a pale golden with a medium but festfading white head and a thin aweet aroma of honey, brown sugar and spices. The flavor is smooth and with a sweet maltiness. Hints of honey, spices, cream, brown sugar and some hops. Nice but not too special

Cloudy golden pour with a thin white head. Good aroma of honey and yeast. Good flavor of honey and yeast. The body is medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. It’s very straight forward and simple, but pleasant to drink.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy beige/golden color ale with a huge foamy head with great retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dry Saaz hops with some typical medium sweet Belgian malt. Taste is also a well balance mix between some dry Saaz with some bitterness and some medium sweet Belgian malt. Great carbonation with full body due to medium filtration. Enjoyable but nothing earth shattering in here.

Hazy amber hue, with a multitude of floaties swirling around, with a frothy white head, leaving lacing, yeasty, toasted malt and cookie dough nose, with some fruity, caramelized ripe apples, with a hint of nutmeg spiciness, a faint honeyed candied tangerine ester, with a subtle floral hop aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasty, grainy character, with some honeyed pale malts, underlaying kind of a subtle maple syrup accent, with a faint flowery hop leafiness, a nutmeg spiciness, leadind towards a malty, warming, hop dryness finish.

An orange/yellow colored beer. A beautiful large white head. The aroma is a little sweet, it has some spices and it’s also hoppy. The tast is sweet, a little to sweet maybe. It has some hop bitter and some fruits, like melon or grapefruit. A medium bitter finish. At all it is an enjoyable beer

Bottle, 33 cl. (bought @ Geers) Hazy amber color, nice white head. Aroma malts, bit yeast and spice. Medium body. Taste little sweet, (caramel) malts, yeast, biiterness. Dry ending with spice notes. Good brew.

My Bottom Line:
This typically yeasty Belgian-style Ale is emboldened by pervasive honeyed caramel sweetness and orangey esters. This is a well-crafted quaffer, but it may be too sweet and simple for some.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the chunk-laden amber golden.
-Discreet herbal hops tickle the finale.
-Carbonation is comfortable and serves the mouthfeel well.
-The residual sugars form a huggable body, but could be toned down for more crispness and drinkability.
-The yeast character is largely bready and its estery fruitiness isn’t that compelling.

Dark coppery colored, hazy appearance. Little yellow head. Rich Netherlandish yeasty-hopped aroma, some flowers, spices and grains also here. Good aroma indeed. Medium bodied. Flavor is milder, still recognicable to be from Netherland with this yeasty-flowery spiciness and grains. Aftertaste dries still with caramel and some sourness. Good brew.
