Commercial Description:
Mug Bitter is a top fermented, amber-coloured beer of 5% ABY, made from pale malt and Caramalt 20 and richly hopped with Hallertau, Goldings and Challenger hops. The beer's character is best expressed in the old saying: "Geen smaeck zo soet als 't Zeeuwse Bitter doet" (Nothing tastes as sweet as the Bitter from Zeeland). Its hoppy and fruity aroma and well-balanced bittersweet flavour places this beer in a league of its own! Mug Bitter ... Much Better!

(33cl bottle) Pours a cloudy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of mustiness, florals, and grass. Flavor of grass, florals, light pepper, some coriander, and yeast. Probably the first beer I have had named after a mosquito…

330ml Bottle - Hazy amber with a foamy head. Malty aroma with a hint of orange and dried fruit. Malty and slightly sweet taste with moderate bitterness and some dried fruit notes. Well made, fairly tasty, but rather unremarkable.

Tap @ ZBF 2009.
Pours clear golden with a super-nice, staying, off-white head. Aroma is rassy, flowery, some popperinge and light malty sweetness. Highish carbonation, fine, but maybe a tad watery mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly hoppy, but overall still far too sweet. Sugary and malty with a slight hoppy dose in the finish. Okay, though the aroma promises far more than it delivers.

A hazy golden ale with a super thick white head. A nice herbaceous faint hops aroma, with caramel and yeast. In mouth, oxidized malt with honey notes, some remaining bitter, perfumey, cloying...mmmm...wished I had this one before...Bieropholie import. BB sometimes in early 2008 (label damaged).

Amber coloured with thin head. Sweet aroma. Generally quite a sweet flavour but with some smoke present at the back and a more drying finish.
