2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy straw colour underneath a voluminous fluffy white head. Waxy alcohol aromas prevalent and signature fruity banana Belgian ale yeast along with boiled vegetables.
The first impression is colling and fluffy and then there’s a violent blow of alcohol and fruits. There’s a tangy tinge of citrus and bitterness that hangs around for a few minutes leaving the impression that you’ve just taken a bite out of a lemon. Not quite what I was expecting out of this bottle, but for all that, tasty enough... but I wouldn’t go back for a second - I’d be unconscious.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33L bottle bought in Brussels, enjoyed at home. Lacing, shiny white head. Body is orangey-golden with lots of microfloaters, yeast particles apperantly. Pleasant smell of marzipan, cake and fruity Belgo-yeast. Initial flavor is yeasty, followed by nutty, marzipan-like malts. Noticable alcohol sweetness. Mild herbal bitterness. Well-bodied. Juicy mouthfeel. Yeasty endnotes. Quite a good one. Has some yeast issues, though.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2012 Cloudy orange and small white head. Fruity aroma, mango and orange, with yeasty notes. Taste is much more powerful. Smooth, the alcohol working its magic here, and full of flavour. Mild sweetness but quite hoppy at the same time. Mouthfeel is spot on. Yet another great and underrated brew by this brewery. Will definitely get this more often. (33cl bottle) (Rating re-indexed)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This one is a big suprise. The bottle plus the glass looks kind of cheap, but the taste is really exciting. There is an enjoyable bitterness with hoppy notes to go with it. It is the youngest beer from the Scheldebrouwerij.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas on 30 March 2011.. Clear gold. Creamy white head. Blonde spicy stuff. A little herbal bitterness. Not unpleasant but a bit sweet and sherbety. Is this actually brewed with tobacco? If so, I can’t say I noticed it. Surprised to see it was 9.5% as it didn’t seem that strong.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. High fluffy and long lasting good looking fluffy white head. Hazy orange body. Mild and acutually astonishingly weak fruity flavor and something I guess is a hint of tobacco, but it is indeed very weak. Alcohold is pretty much appearent in the aroma. If tobacco is added I would never have guessed it. Flavor is mild fruity with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short aftertaste. Alcohol though is though also too dominant in the flavor.
