draft@Chez Moeder Lambic: slightly hazy orange with a white head, taste is bitter with strong esters, lots of bittering hops, slight grassy hops, plenty of sweet fruits (peaches, mango, papaya,…), Belgian yeast, bitter oranges, slight spices, lingering bitter aftertaste, hint of booze, nice

(Draught at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm, 24 Sep 2011) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried apricots, orange and marzipan. Malty, fruity taste with marzipan, apricots, orange and an aromatic, slightly spicy, sweet finish with a certain alcohol bite. Almost full body, with some candy sweetness. Solid, tasty and nice.

Draft @ Delirium, Brussels.

Bottle. Golden, cloudy, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty – lightly wheaty and sweetish aroma, fruitiness, some yeast. Body is medium, malty – lightly wheaty and sweetish flavor, fruitiness, some yeast and spiciness, faint alcohol. Finish is average, malty –lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish, fruitiness and yeast, faint spiciness, alcohol. Sweetish and fruity strong ale - really nothing that makes this stand out from the crowd.

Hazy straw colour underneath a voluminous fluffy white head. Waxy alcohol aromas prevalent and signature fruity banana Belgian ale yeast along with boiled vegetables. The first impression is colling and fluffy and then there’s a violent blow of alcohol and fruits. There’s a tangy tinge of citrus and bitterness that hangs around for a few minutes leaving the impression that you’ve just taken a bite out of a lemon. Not quite what I was expecting out of this bottle, but for all that, tasty enough... but I wouldn’t go back for a second - I’d be unconscious.

0.33L bottle bought in Brussels, enjoyed at home. Lacing, shiny white head. Body is orangey-golden with lots of microfloaters, yeast particles apperantly. Pleasant smell of marzipan, cake and fruity Belgo-yeast. Initial flavor is yeasty, followed by nutty, marzipan-like malts. Noticable alcohol sweetness. Mild herbal bitterness. Well-bodied. Juicy mouthfeel. Yeasty endnotes. Quite a good one. Has some yeast issues, though.

Bottled. The aroma has some yeast, maltiness, fruits. Slightly hazy, copper coloured beer with a white head. The taste is slightly hopbitter, has some fruitiness, alcohol is present. Didn’t get any tobacco.
