3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice heavy head, golden/amber color, hazy. Aromaís are malty, and hoppy.
Taste is malty at first but the hops gently move in and seem to stay there for ever. I like that development. Itís strong in alcohol, mouthwarming, but not over the top. Well balanced.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottled) Hazy yellow-golden with a small, bubbly and lightly lacy head. Citrus-fruity aroma with moderate pear acidity, some orangey fruitiness, and a touch of grainy malt. Flavor is orange-fruity with moderate acidity, birch-woody-aromatic hoppiness, and low bitterness. Medium to full body, lowish carbonation. A somewhat pleasant Triple / Belgian Strong, but the acidity is slightly over the top for me. 4336

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Monks Porterhouse, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy orange amber colour with a rich fluffy lasting white head. Almondy yeast, dust, orange-liquor, apricots and mild herbs in the aroma. Full-bodied with rich firm notes of almondy yeast, over-riped oranges, candied apricots, marzipan and peppery alcohol. Quite sticky and liquor-like mouthfeel. Long solid and warming finish of almondy yeast and over-riped oranges.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2010 Bottle at home. Clear golden color with a thin creamy white head and quite some floaties. Aroma of sugary malts, spices, candy sugar, honey and some fruits. Flavor is spicy, some butane gas, sweet sugary malts and pepper. Too bad there is some wet dog drooling all over this brew. Creamy, syrupy texture and average carbonation. Somewhat too sweet for me and this dog drool really annoyed me.

on tap at the Doerak, Delft (along with the Strandgaper) as a guest beer.
Not much head. Nice beer, you donít notice the alcohol which is a pity as I have to cycle back to the Hague as soon as the rain stops... ;-)

Hazy blond. Thin receding head. Lots of residue. Flat, almost gasless. A bit spicy, musty, yeasty. Fairly plain.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (courtesy of bierkoning - thanks). Sweet orange-apricot malt, sour milk, and astringent alcohol aroma. Hazy orange-tan color with minimal head. Slightly sweet orange malt and moderately bitter/astringent grass hops flavor - alcohol level well hidden. Not bad.
