3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small bottle as " ’n Toeback". Hazy golden, tall head. Sweet aroma of honey and ripe fruits. Taste has mainly pineapple sweetness and alcohol kick. Too sweet, like some Pina Colada coctail. Also a bit too yeast-centric. Not as well balanced as the classic Belgian strong ales.

6/12/2011 33cl bottle @ Backdoor, Gent - BB: 12/12 (2011-696)
Clear orange beer, small off-white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: very malty, bit sweet, honey, flowers, wet forest, little fruity. MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: bit fruity, wild honey, sweet malts, sweet sparkling wine, bit hoppy. Aftertaste: citrus fruits, tobacco, leather, somewhat rotten fruits, bitter hoppy finish, dairy (cheesy) notes as well. Would be a good aperitif. Of course my bottle was 2 years old already. Probably a fresh one will be different.
