Bottle. A really dark brown beer with a nice beige head. Beefstock, roasted malts, dried fruits and some alcohol in the aroma. The flavor is much the same, with more emphasis on the roasted malts, tending towards coffee. Also raisins and prunes, beef-stock and some alcohol. Coffee-like finish with bitterness of the same kind. Medium mouthfeel. A bit hard to describe, but really pleasant and complex. (081128)

Black with a red-brown hue. Aroma has plenty of malt and cocoa but also some alcohol. Raw alcohol flavour dominates at first but fades into bitter chocolate.

Bottle at In de Wildeman. Dark brown to black beer, beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malts, some saltiness, some chocolate. Flavours are the same, nice sweetness over a fullbodied roastedness leading to a nice bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied.

kramer (5360) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 21, 2008
33cl bottle, via jbrus. Pours a cloudy dark brown body with a small foamy light brown head that faded to a partial covering. The nose is very roasty with a noticable amount of oxidation. Cocoa and coffee with a good bit of yeast, even some light smoke. Maybe this is a little over the hill, but I think it’s still pretty good. Roast and sherry-like oxidation go well together. Dry and roasty up front, slightly sweet on the finish, lots of earthy yeast. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a touch of clingy stickiness on the finish. Moderate fizzy carbonation, lingering finish. Overall, pretty enjoyable, but it might not be for everybody.

Pours a very dark chocolate brown color with a foamy tan/ yelowish head. The aroma consists of dark roasted chocolate maltiness and salt seafood. Smooth roasted malty flavor with hints of chocolate, toffee, oatmeal, coffee and seafood(oysters). The fish taste is not toooverpowering however. Very unique.

Black coloured beer with a small brown head. Smouth light aromatic herby caramel roasted aroma. Full palate. Finish is roasted sweet bitter touched with some caramel and coffee hints. Not bad, a smouth stout.
