3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Plutôt noire, effervescence moyenne, peu de col beige. Une stout des plus douce dont on ne goûte en rien le goût de la mer tant vanté sur l’étiquette.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2013 Good, dark beer. Neutral smell. A good combination of bitter and chocolate, with an okay mouthfeel. Just a good, ’standard’ bitter chocolate.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells like a harbor. Salt, oil and seaweed. Black with large lasting head. The taste is dominated by liquorice with a salty finish. Medium body but maybe a bit thin in the texture and an soft carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Dark brown, murky. Roasted malts, a bit of dry chocolate, breadyness on nose. After reading the description, I’m starting to find chalk, limestone and milkyness as well. Full bodied, a bit of sweet milk chocolate with a sort of bitter dark plummy-molasses mixture. Well balanced though, tasty.

Draft with Keith in Leuven. Great looking beer in the tulip glass. Very easy drinking. It had some stout weight but also kept the Belgian character. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33cl bottle. Pours a deep dark brown color with a big light brown head with good retention and lots of pillowy lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, dark dried fruit; slightly vinous and sour. Flavor starts with dark toasted malt and develops a nice fruit flavor of plums and raisins, finishing slightly dry with dark fruit, light chocolate and a bright spicy flavor. Medium bodied with a hint of creaminess.

pours almost black , small white head. not much in the smell , some saltyness, maybe ? or is it just in my head ?
sharp carbo , some bitterness. some sweetness from the malts. when i tasted oysters, they tasted like pure salt to me . i dont get any salts in the taste here, yet i do get something ’ diffrent’ . on the other hand, it could very well be something completely other than the oysters. i’d describe it as a weird sweet touch. perfumed, almost .
as it warms up the reoasted malts come to front way more .
not salty ( my fears havn’t gone true ) and pretty drinkable. yet nothing shockingly intresting
